Drugged

I stayed in this place for two more days. But to me, it felt like an eternity.

Ever since the Alpha left two days ago, I've not seen him, nor have I seen Matilda.

The two of them haven't made an appearance, the same as David. And that made me worried.

I was worried about David, and the possibility that Alpha might not be taking good care of him as he claimed. It's a possibility, one that shouldn't be overlooked.

"Here's your meal." Pete dropped the food in front of me.

Pete is now my new friend, and he's the one who keeps me company whenever I feel lonely. He has been a constant in my life for these two days, and I'm grateful for that.

Had it not been for him, I don't know what would have happened. I might have lost my mind about everything.

"How's David?"

"I don't know." Shrugging, he sat on the floor opposite me and faced me with a grin.
