A successful plan

"D… Dan?" I managed to gasp out.

"David, tell me you are okay. I don't think I can bear the suspense anymore. Just tell me you are okay." He said, from the other side.

I didn't reply, I just lay there as I tried to override the indecipherable pain.

"Okay, David, I don't hate you anymore. You know I love you. I was just trying to get you to feel how hurt I was when you left me here. I cried myself to a short nap. And I'm hungry." He said, from the other side.

I didn't reply, I kept on rolling on the floor. All I want is for him to open the door. It's really difficult to pretend to be hurt.

I groaned some more. This time I made some noise, with my shoes. But he still stayed in there.

"I will come out there, when —"

"Argh!" I clutch my stomach before I groaned like a wounded animal. If memory serves me well, this was the same sound I made when I was hurt.

So, it doesn't hurt to try with that sound.

"Dan."
