After a few minutes with his pack, I realized something. My earlier fears were uncalled-for. The pack members were lovely. Just like Carl, I couldn't stop myself from developing a certain likeness to him.
"Is it true that you are a human?" A young female, who don't look all that older than I, asked.
"I am."
"Wow. I've heard of humans. However, this is my first time meeting one." She touched my skin, "you are not all that different from us. Do you turn to a wolf-like we do?"
"If I turn to a wolf, I won't be a human, now will I?"
"It's true." She looked down in embarrassment, "I wasn't thinking when I asked that question."
"It's okay. I was also curious when I heard David is a werewolf."

There was no way a person like I could have been curious. I've always known about werewolves, long as I can remember.
