"Mother and I are going in the same direction. We will take you to the town, and when you are through, just give me a call. We will come and take you back."
I thought about the words he said. And truthfully, it doesn't sound bad.
"Okay. I will take that."
Provided they don't follow me to the place I'm going to.
"What are you going to town for? Don't tell me you intend to leave us here?" Mother raised a brow at me.
"Nothing of that sort. I'm just going there to check on things."
"I see."
David smiled at me, "don't forget to get something for me."
"I'm only getting things for Carl."
"Why? I'm your mate, don't you think you need to take care of me before you think of others?"
I stick my tongue out at him, "you can't do anything about that. I'm only buying for Carl, and that's final. There is nothing like buying for you."
