Club

"It's just two days away," she screamed and got up. "What the hell does he think of me? Idiot! Stupid!"

Lili: "Hi Beau! When is Mr. Cooper free today?"

Beau: "Sorry! I am afraid I can't tell you that."

'Like Boss, Like Assistant,' she shrugged.

Lili: "Could you at least tell me if he is at the office, so that I can come and meet him?"

Beau: "He is! But I am afraid he wouldn't be interested to meet you."

Lili's hands squeezed to a fist, and jaw tightened. "Let me show him who I am," she groaned and ran down. Picking up one key from the key hanger at the door, she rushed to the garage.

All the way to Cooper's office, she kept cursing Beau and his boss. Do they think they are gods? Fools! Morons! I will make him talk to me. Finally, she reached the office. Tapping on the steering wheel, she gazed at the entrance for the idiot to arrive. "It's 5pm. He should be out!" And just as she expected, Niklaus came down along with a person who was catching an iPad and wearing Bluetooth. Both got into the car that was waiting for them. Lili smirked and followed the car, trying her best not to be caught.

A few steps before Lili's car, Beau chuckled, "Nik, Liliya Meyers is following us. She messaged earlier to ask when your schedule would be free."

Nik's lips curled up and cheeks lifted to see her car following her through the mirror. "On the phone, she was like a frightened cat. Now she wants to be a lioness. Let her be."

Beau stared at Niklaus with a lifted brow. "Nice to see you smiling!"

Nik's smile faded from that comment. "Who's smiling? I am not!" Niklaus shrugged his shoulders but ended up chuckling again and trying hard to set his lips straight.

"You don't have to control. I won't tell anyone." Beau teased him. "So, are we going to the club or not?"

"No change in plans."

In half an hour, they reached the club and Lili, too, followed them inside. She sat in a corner chair appreciating herself for succeeding in her plan.

"Here is your drink, mam" a waiter came to her.

"I didn't…" Lili began but was interrupted by him.

"Please read this."

"Okay!" she forced a smile and unfolded the paper.

Her eyes widened, and her heart skipped a beat.

'Hi detective Liliya,

You don't have to investigate from that far. I don't have any problem if you observe my handsome face sitting right beside me.

-Niklaus'

Her body shivered on reading that letter. However, she controlled and hid her fear. She raised her eyes, stared at him and crumbled the paper while grinding her teeth.

The waiter turned into a statue, realizing the fierce cold war. Before he could escape, Lili called him, grabbed a tissue and pulled out a pen from his apron. Glaring at the man sitting on the other end, she wrote something, folded and gave it to the waiter. He ran immediately and handed the paper to Niklaus. Before Nik could stop him, the waiter slowly escaped from the scene.

'Hi arrogant, egoist, dominant Niklaus,

You…aren't my type.

-Liliya'

Nik's heart broke to see how she described him. But he didn't want to show that, so he took out his phone and messaged - "You…. aren't anyone's choice. Can you even buy your own drink?"

Lili's eyes swam with tears after reading that comment. She sucked her bottom lip and wide opened her eyes, not allowing her tears to flow out. 'You shouldn't cry. Don't show yourself weak.' she told herself. "Excuse me," she called out to the waiter. "Can I get a pair of scissors?"

The waiter drove into his pocket and pulled out a tiny pair of scissors. As he stood there to take his scissors back, she cut her jeans, making them super cute shorts. She then grinned shyly at the staring waiter and undid her white shirt's last three buttons, pulled up and tied a knot. The waiter waiting there couldn't help but stare at Lily's navel with a sexy belly button piercing.

She stood up, undid her ponytail, and shook her hair. "How do I look?" she asked the jaw dropped guy with a hand over her hip. Before he replied, a huge punch landed on him. Prior to seeing who that person was, a hand pulled her into a room.

"What the …." she yelled as the person pushed her to the door. Slowly, her lips curled up to see the man whom she wanted. "Didn't you say I wasn't anyone's choice?" she mocked, pulling her hand off from his grip.

Nik bit his lip, releasing how he was fooled. But he wasn't furious because of that. His blood was boiling seeing her outfit. "So, you think you are my choice." He gave a mirthless laugh. "You… will be my wife in 48 hours. I don't want any useless work for my PR team. They are already tired of covering up your father's news." he roared, slamming the door.

"And… this outfit!" he said, pointing to her naked stomach. "I thought your father wanted to make you a whore. Seems like it's your wish." His heart cried as he uttered those words. He could also see how Lili's face darkened. Gulping hard, he undid the knot and buttoned her shirt.

He then put her right foot between her feet and leaned into her ear. "I protect and respect what's mine. Don't act this way again. THIS…. isn't you." Whispering that, he opened the door and shut behind him.

Lili collapsed on the spot. All the tears that she was hiding flooded out. She screamed, punched the wall, and cried aloud. She walked to the mirror in the room and looked at herself. "What were you doing there? That wasn't you" she said, and that reminded of Niklaus' words and his hazel sad eyes. She pulled out some wet wipes from the box near the mirror and wiped her mascara's prints on her cheeks. She put on a fake smile and opened the door to find Niklaus waiting for her.

"Shall we?" He showed his palm, on which Lili rolled her eyes and started walking. Nik laughed silently and followed her until she abruptly halted. Her eyes widened over the blood strains at the place she had sat earlier.

"Mr. Cooper, he is taken care of!" A guy in a black suit ran and said to them. Lili immediately recognized him to be the person who came out of the office with Niklaus - Beau.

"What have you done to him?" Lili stepped forward and yelled at him while holding Beau's collar. "He has done nothing." She groaned.

"He is fine, taken to the hospital. Just a few punches." Beau said. "He wouldn't if you haven't done that!" he complained, looking straight into her eyes.

"Beau!" Niklaus growled.
