Witch

[After two hours]

[Restaurant in Mall]

"Thank You!" Lili said to Kai with fingers caressing her dressed wound. Her fingers and palm's condition improved slightly and now she could move her fingers without much pain.

"You should actually thank my sister. She is the one who treated you." Kai looked at a girl sitting beside him.

Lili chuckled at the siblings. She felt jealous for not having a sibling who could stand and help each other at difficult times. But the next moment, she didn't want a sibling and let another person suffer in their absurd family. "Well! Then thanks to both of you." she said and bent her neck with eyes staring at the empty table just like her empty life.

"I have covered up the marks as you asked. But are you sure that you don't want to register a complaint?" Kai's sister, Olivia, inquired. Her face appeared shrunk, with her sad eyes focused on Lili's wrist.

"I don't think I have the power," Lili said with a warm smile. Lili was so happy to have someone to care about her and speak out amid all the chaos in her life.

"Order, please!" A waiter came to their table and made Lili realize that she doesn't have a single penny.

"I am not hungry! You both can order!" Lili faked a smile and pushed the menu towards the brother and sister.

"Don't worry! Such think that I am your friend, and I am lending you some money. It isn't free!" Kai grinned and Olivia gave a blink with a nod, assuring her.

The word 'friend' rang in her ears. Her eyes brightened at once to remember Bella. "Kai, Can I call a friend? She can help me with the money." She sang and stretched out her palm towards him.

Kai's face turned blank, and he exhaled feebly. "Mr. Stewart instructed me not to allow you to call anyone."

Lili never thought that she would be in a position unable to purchase the basic necessities- food, clothes and shelter. 'I don't want to lend from anyone' she frowned to herself. 'But how do I satisfy my stomach? What will I wear tomorrow? Where will I sleep today?'

At last, she ate such that she filled half of her stomach. Then, as Beau instructed, Kai took her into a clothes shop. Though it was not an expensive and super branded one, it had a fine variety and quality. Lili didn't say any brand, so Oli chose that shop, keeping the budget and Lili's status in mind.

Lili chose three pairs of clothes, whose costs would not burden the siblings. But she made sure that those pairs were dignified, rich and elevated her.

"You can take two more pairs or something a little expensive." Kai offered, noticing how Lili looked at each dress' cost before choosing.

"That's fine! I have clothes in my house. These are temporary!" She raised her lip corners and asked him not to worry much. "Now, let go to the hotel. I want to be alone." Lili muttered as they felt the shop.

"I heard you got married. Is everything fine?"

"Yes, mother!" Niklaus assured his mother over the phone. "She isn't in love with me, so I didn't take any intimate move towards her."

"Good! Tell me once she falls in love with you. Before that, both of you come to meet me as soon as possible."

"Sure!"

The fact that Niklaus is the witch's son is a hidden secret, which is known only by three people- Alice Cooper, Robert Cooper and Niklaus. Though it didn't affect Nik much, there are various rules and precautions that he should take as a witch's son.

'Will she finish shopping by this time?' He glanced at the clock and pressed the office bell. The very next second, Beau entered the room. "Where is Liliya?"

"I have assigned a driver and bodyguard, as you said. I asked the bodyguard to take her to the mall and then to the hotel."

"Good! Call the bodyguard and ask him about her. What's his name?"

"Kai Wood." Beau answered and contacted Kai.

Beau : "Where is Mrs. Cooper?"

Kai : "Hotel"

Beau : "Room number?"

Kai: "301"

Beau cut the call and informed the same to Mr. Cooper.

"Forward me his number! And what is the schedule for these two days?"

"Office... Nothing much. And the ships have started with the load and will reach after two days." Beau said while sending Kai's contact and resume to Nik.

"I have some work to do these two days. You can take some rest. Before that, drop me at the hotel."

Beau's eyes narrowed, and his jaw clenched to hear that. "I don't want you to be alone with Liliya." he blurted out.

"What? Beau! How many times should I tell you? She isn't Ms. Meyers now; she is Mrs. Cooper. Respect her! Why are you so against her?"

"I even doubt if she was Ms. Meyers."

"What? What the hell are you saying? We have followed her for an entire year."

"Of course, we did! But why don't you feel it weird? She was cool about forced marriage, as if expecting it. She was fine about the mafia too, as if she already knew it. And now, I haven't given the bodyguard a single penny, but she completed shopping and even booked a suite room. Are you…"

Before Beau could complete the question, Niklaus stamped her foot and stood up with eyes flaring over Beau. "I gave you the card, trusting that you would give it to her. I never expected this from you." He roared and slammed the table hard.

"But..." Beau started.

"What kind of secretary are you? You can't understand a person even after a year. Liliya is a carefree person. She was okay with the marriage because she isn't a person who dwells over the past and spoils the future. And regarding the mafia, I know why she is cool with it."

Uttering that, he was about to dash out, but Beau caught him by his wrist. "Then why don't you also explain how she got the money? I instructed Kai not to allow her to call anyone." Despite the lengthy explanation that Nik gave him, Beau still wasn't able to remove the wrong impression he has on Liliya.

"Come with me!" Nik growled and walked out.
