Passion-filled blue eyes

About five minutes after everyone had left, the woman on the ground moaned slowly and Ethan jerked upright. He watched her warily, waiting to see if she would open her eyes or say something. As he watched, her eyes opened slowly and she blinked when Ethan came into her line of vision.

“Hey. How are you feeling?” He asked, speaking slowly and deliberately as though he were talking to a child. She looked at him unseeingly and he marveled at how blue her eyes were and then chided himself for thinking of such a thing, especially in her state.

“Hurts…” she croaked and moaned again, before attempting to sit up.

“No, no. Don’t do that.” He said urgently and with some fear. The last thing he needed was for her to injure herself after all this time that they had waited for the paramedics. The woman paused, then blinked at him as though wondering who he was. That was probably exactly what she was wondering.

“What’s your name?” He asked her.

“Chloe.”
