Chapter Ten

DING DONG!

The doorbell rang, I was still sleeping because Catherine's birthday took most of my bedtime yesterday.

DING DONG!!

"Who the fuck is that?" I snarled in my head. It's so early to expect anyone at my place and I never thought anyone could visit me this early cause I knew no one.

DING DONG!!!

"Seriously?".

I went to the door and look through the pinhole, the face of an old man was protruding all over the pinhole.

"Who the hell will that be?" I said to myself, I let the door open.

"Hello, young man" the man greeted.

"Morning, how can I help you?" I asked.

"I was told to deliver this package here and it's coming Mrs wellson, are you Thomas wellson?" the old man asked.

"Yeah and that's my mum" I replied but I was anxious.

"Why would mum send me a package?, I never asked anything from her". I said to myself.

"Then if so, I think the package is yours, do have a nice day" the old man handed the package over to me and left.

I closed the door and drop the package on my bed.

"What could be inside the package?".

I took a penknife and tore the lid.

"WTF!!!" I exclaimed, I was surprised my mum sent a delivery man to get the binders and ribbons I intentionally dropped at home back to me.

"This is how bad days starts" I clenched my fist and leave everything else on my bed, well I had to prepare for school.

The wind rustled dragging each dry leaf as it flows, I sat under the shade enjoying the bit of windy nature with my music pod stuck into my ear. The day was bright and students were having fun, some of them took a shade at different locations playing card games and telling stories about their life while those in relationships are having their moment. My phone beeped

June:

Where are you?

I wondered why June would text me cause I have nothing to say to her again and we were never friends that hang out.

"What do you want this time, the parenting class is over already" I tried to think if there was any reason why she would want to text me.

Well since there's nothing I could think of I had to text her back.

Am at the st Petersburg library, any problem?

I rest my back on the tree and exhale, my head was still throbbing from Catherine's birthday party, everything that happened flashed into my mind.

"What a party," I said with no enthusiasm. Not long my phone beeped again.

June:

Pls, can you come to the school gym house?

"Wtf!, What does she want me to do there?" I raged, I wasn't in my best mood that day so anything seems to irritate me but I had to text her back.

What for??

I didn't drop my phone this time, I was waiting to see what she'll pop up, just I was expecting, she texted back.

June:

Just come over, can't talk now

"But you texted me first, what the heck!?" I wasn't finding any of these funny.

Well, I had no choice but to be the nice guy, I stood up from my shade and head towards the gym.

"I bet you have something important to say" I snarled in my mind

..........................

A bad mood can change automatically to its opposite depending on what the factor is and how it's applied, well how it's applied doesn't matter much.

I walked into the gym and it looks like it was a bit busy that day, I have no time to waste so I looked around searching for June, I don't know if I should text her or call her to make things easy for me.

"Hey" June tapped me from behind.

" You finally made it, I was afraid you won't be coming" she continued, " just kidding" she laughed. I was still numb, I didn't even know what to say to her until when I found my voice.

"You texted me," I said calmly.

"Yeah I did," she said as she led me to a seat.

"So why?" I asked her sitting down.

She took a seat beside me and brought out an arithmetic book.

"I want you to teach me arithmetic" she has dropped the book and slid it over to me so that I could have a clearer view of it.

I am good when it comes to arithmetic but I made sure no one knows about it.

"Why pick me to teach you?" I asked

"Well I kinda saw your grades in the arithmetic test" she smiled.

"She's been spying on me this whole time and I didn't..."

"June!"

Both I and June looked in the direction where she was called. I wasn't expecting this, it's Mira. Mira walked past the group of guys taunting about their biceps, well nobody can avoid the temptation of looking at her tight short skirt with her curves clearly showing.

When she got to where I and June is she hugged her.

"How the heck do they know each other?" I asked myself but it looks like Mira wasn't alone, she got company, that was when I saw Tyler and his friend Ino, behind them was Sherlock and May.

" Oh he's still hanging around her after Catherine's birthday" I was referring to Tyler when I saw him turn to talk to May.

They took turns to greet each other but Sherlock will always be Sherlock.

"You're looking beautiful June," Sherlock said giving her a winky and they all laughed.

I looked at June, just like I expected her cheeks were red.

"Oh goodness," I said in my head

It was as if they gathered to initiate me into something like a cult group or sort.

"Studying arithmetic eh?" Ino picked up the book lying Infront of me.

"I really wanna get serious like you guys," Tyler said but I guess that was sarcasm.

"Fuck you!" I retorted in my head.

"Hey, Tom" May finally noticed my presence.

"Hi, I didn't know you guys hang out a lot," I said

"We do" Mira replied.

" Yeah we do" May answered.

"Nice" was the only thing I could say. I was not comfortable among them though I wanted to talk with May, seeing her changed my mood. At that moment my phone beeped, I looked at my phone and the message wasn't that important but that's the only way I could get away from them.

"Um sorry I'll like to take this," I said as I picked up my bag to leave.

"Are you coming back?" June asked me.

"Yeah probably" I walked off, I didn't hesitate to leave the gym hall.

When I left the gym hall, I was whining about not talking much with May until when someone called on me.

"Hello"

I turned and she was familiar.

"Where have I seen you?" I thought. When she got closer to me memories smacked into my mind.

"The girl I lend my place during the T-shirt collection, what did she want again?" I asked myself.

"Hello, um do you remember me?" she asked

" Yeah I do, it's nice meeting you again," I said politely.

" Thanks, call me Maryjane" she smiled.
