Story

Emily...

The woman who introduced herself as Rosie hasn't left her side yet.

She was always asking her if her back was in pain or her head?

She was tired of saying no.

She needed her space something this wolf woman didn't understand.

Soon a young man and a lady came into the room.

Great! She couldn't get rid of this woman and now she'll have to look for a way to get them all out of here.

"Hey sis"

Emily stared at him like he had lost his mind.

Sis?

The hell? A werewolf can never be her brother.

Especially the one who's pack had blinded her poor friend.

"Sister? You've got to be kidding me?"

The boy laughed loudly making Emily narrow her eyes at him.

The nerve of this guy.

He didn't know her name and yet he was playing a stupid prank on her.

The guy had stopped laughing once Rosie called his attention to it.

Now all that could be heard was the series of hiccups before it was silent.

"Sorry for being rude. I'm Jayden" the guy said making a small bow to her.

Emily smiled at him and also introduced herself.

"So sister, you work for that company that plans to kill us all?"

Emily stared at him checking to see any signs of anger.

He still had a ghost smile on his lips.

Other than that, he looked like he was ready to start laughing again.

He seemed like a nice guy but if he wanted them to get along, he might as well drop the whole 'sis' thing.

"Yes, unfortunately. You don't seem like you're ready to tear me apart so I'll presume you're a nice guy."

Jayden nodded feeling very proud of himself making Emily smile at him once again.

"We're going to be good friends if and only if you drop that word 'sis'. It gets me angry and I don't like that word one bit"

Silence clouded the room as the three werewolves tried to let her words sink in.

Jayden dreaded the reply he was going to ask but asked anyways.

"Do you love your parents?"

Emily stared at him like he had lost his mind.

He only just met her and he was already asking her stupid questions.

She was an orphan who grew up with her Aunt who later died when she was ten.

She lived in the foster care for years because nobody wanted to adopt her sorry ass.

She could feel tears at the back of her throat as she tried to suppress the swirling emotions.

She had gone through what no girl her age should go through.

She was treated like trash and for a moment she began to believe that she was trash.

Long story cut short.

She moved out of the foster care when she was eighteen and into a crappy apartment.

They let them school at the care for free so she had the basic requirements needed if she wanted to embark on her journey to college.

She did everything and anything to pay for the scholarship she had applied for and finally got into the college of her dreams.

She never went out for parties, never got drunk and never even had a boyfriend.

And it was all thanks to her so called parents who had dumped her like she was garbage.

And now when she finally thought her life was stable, some pack of man changing beasts kidnaps her.

As if the answer wasn't obvious.

"I hate my parents in fact I loathe them more than the devil himself"

Emily was shocked to see the older woman called herself Rosie leave the room in a rush the younger girl right at her tail.

Jayden sighed wearily before taking his place on the sofa where his mother had sat.

"I'm going to tell you a story and I want you to be sincere in your answer, okay?"

Emily shrugged making Jayden nod his head and clasp his hands in front of him.

"A girl called Cassie once worked in your position at that same company where you work. Although she never found out what could end the life of a werewolf, she was beautiful and shy. Her boss who was a member of a wolf pack leaked out information on the presence of every pack he came across making humans have more advantage. It wasn't long before that boss realized his mate was Cassie. He gave everyone a day off except for Cassie and dear Cassie didn't complain. She did her work like every other day until her boss came in and raped her.

She got pregnant, went into labor and delivered a baby boy. When she returned to the company from her maternity leave, her boss was no longer there. So anytime she was at work, her older sister would look after her baby. After a year, the boss came back a changed person. He didn't want to tell the company about his kinds whereabouts so he got kicked out but not before having sex with Cassie again and then accidentally marking her as his.

Cassie got pregnant and then delivered a pretty girl this time.

The company wanted to torture the answer out of the boss so he was on the run. He didn't want to take the girl because she won't survive in the forest for that long plus the girl was just recovering from a surgery so he took his mate and son and then fled leaving his daughter in the hands of his sister in law and mate's sister.

Not a day goes by do the thought of their daughter not cross their minds. So Emily tell me do you think that girl has the right to hate her parents?"

Emily thought about this and it didn't take a genius to know who the 'daughter' in that story was.

"No" was Emily's soft reply.

"Good so you have no right to hate your parents" said Jayden with a smile.

"Mom's room is in the second door to the right" was Jayden last reply before he left the room.

He wanted her to apologize to his mother.

Emily didn't want to but she had to if she wanted to escape from here with her sanity still in check.

And in order to do that she had to gain their trust.

Every single one of them.
