The last day V

Most of you now must be thinking now this is the chapter where I die, stopping this nightmare of rot, this nightmare of murder, effectively destroying the Pishach, putting an end to everything but I am sorry to disappoint you this is not where I die.

At this point of the nightmare, I realized that the nightmare has swallowed the whole school but it has also lost the very essence of what made it a nightmare, the essence of unknown, the essence of something unseen.

It was the effect of unseen making us go through the torture, but in a jungle if you have seen the very beast hunting you in becomes mortal. The power of the supernatural comes from the fear of the unknown.

I don't really know how Arushi figured out that it is the Pishach of nightmares haunting and murdering us, it was from all the information I gave her but now it was all me fighting for the survival of all of it, because if I don't live right now, no one will know what went down here if I don't survive it.

Stumbling I stood up and ran in the canteen towards the kitchen, the canteen itself was a scene of horror, I think almost everyone from the school was decaying here, mauled and eaten. The air here was thick as if the screams of the dead had dissolved in the air itself.

I slid under the counter and picked up the knife, running towards the kitchen.

I tried igniting the fire in the gas knobs but to my rotten luck the black sludge started flowing out of it, bursting the pipes, the black sludge growing and growing, engulfing everything near it, with multiple hands growing out of it, faces trying to tear the surface of the sludge, trying to break free. I realized I needed to run from here but as soon as I stepped back from the scene of horrors, I realized the Pishach in the skin of Ishita standing behind me, naked.

Everything started to phase out again and we were in the pine forest with rot growing out from everywhere. The fog engulfing the senses, with visibility less than the length of the hand.

I ran from there as fast as I could but to my disappointment, I realized there is no way out of this fog, clutching the knife in hands I thought if this was going to be it for me than I should kill myself, at least I will have a death of my own choice.

I held the knife in both my hands, trembling, the pointy end touched my bare chest with a drop of blood racing toward my navel.

But as soon as I tried to put pressure on, I felt two slender hands hugging me from behind, those hands felt as cold as the arctic ice, it paralyzed me, numbed my legs, unable to have control I dropped down on both of my legs.

Those hands were feeling my bare chest pressing its nails on the point where the blood was dripping, the knife fell from my hand to the ground.

Then those hands moved towards my naval, felt my croutch, pressed it hard, as if torturing me to be lived so long, one of the hands slid inside and started feeling stroking me, from fear I was hard.

I realized the Pishach wanted me to release before it killed me but I wasn't gonna give it that satisfaction, the satisfaction of killing an aroused prey.

It went on for like a minute, the Pishach started to struggle and started crying in a shrill voice.

The noise was so loud even the fog dissipated and I saw the pack of crows staring down at me from their bloodthirsty red eyes in silence. The gray skies started turning pitch black as I lost control.

When the warm liquid hit her hand the Pishach got scared and pushed me away into a tree. It started again shouting in a shrill voice and a black sludge grabbed me from below. The hands scratching my bare body.

I lost all hope to live at this moment as I felt the horror of a mouth biting flesh of my hand, I wasn't even to shout just looked and was forced to listen to the cry of Pishach at my dying breath.

But I was saved by the ringing of the bells, the Pishach and the pine forest phased out and I was transported back to the hallway in front of the chemistry lab. I realized that my fight isn't over, that the fate of this story has changed for today.

I rushed inside the classroom and took sodium from the counter, I heard the wailing of the creature growing louder and louder, I realized it didn't know where I was, it was hunting the whole nightmare for its last prey.

I mixed the sodium with the water and dripped the iron nails sticked on a wooden bar used for experiments, it blasted, creating an exothermic reaction, the sound of the blast echoed across the hallway and for a millisecond the screams stopped and then it was replaced by the shrill cry of the Pishach. Now it knew my location as the air in the chemistry lab started rotting.

I took the bar which had caught fire and dozed it off with a towel, now the nails were effectively heated. I know they weren't gonna stay warm.

The Pishach in its own form appeared in front of me, it looked smaller than before, I recognized the creature from before from the bridge.

I realized it was the same Pishach that got the hold of the broken bridge and was able to escape the pit.

I realized it kept me alive till now as I was the strongest, so my nightmares were worse, it was feeding off my fear.

But I wasn't afraid anymore because when the Pishach jumped at me to kill me I hit its face with the wooden block, the block passed through his body but the warm iron nails were absorbed in its body.

I fell on the ground as I saw that its body was twisting and with every twist things were phasing in and out.

Roots made out of iron started tearing through its body from his back and started growing followed by its shoulder and stomach. I can now feel the heat of the red heat of the iron as it was growing, covering its skin.

The creature now dropped on all four as the hot iron spread all over its body, finally making way to the screaming face of the Pishach and swallowing it.

The iron cooled off as fast as it got hot leaving behind a statue of the Pishach covered in iron roots.

The roots started rusting and finally turned to dust.

As the last of the dust hit the ground I was transported back to reality and woke to white light flooding my eyes, with a body pain worse than anything I have ever known. I found myself on oxygen waking, in an ambulance, trying to fight for my life.
