As the evening finally came, I put on Helio's favourite gown which he had pressured me to wear, wore make-up, and buried myself in divine fragrance. I practically dolled myself according to his taste and waited for him at the stairs with my cane, I would often switch between sitting and standing as my unsteady legs ached, staring at the door for when Helio would walk through that door.
After ten minutes of waiting, I see Helio's car pull up and a few seconds later, Helio walks in but I still sit and watch him patiently.
