Chapter 99. A Face Of The Past.

We waited until the sky was pitch black before we took off.

It's a good thing Arnold has been sent off first, all that remained was Becca and me which was a greater obstacle because of her father.

We had Reynold behind, locked away in the trunk just in case of any distractions.

Seatbelts on, luggage behind, everything was ready.

"You ready?" I asked Becca who nodded, her hands held on to the seatbelts as she trembled even while she pretended to be fine.

"Alright, let's hit the road then."

Seeing how nervous she was, I took her hand in mine, she tightly clenched my hand, taking in deep breaths to relieve her anxiety.

"Let's go." She said once she was finally calm.

Our journey began smoothly, for twenty minutes on the lonely, dark road, we drove steadily, keeping an eye out for any intruder we might bump into, but luckily we met none.

Becca's worries had completely died, and her guard was down, making me relieved.
