"Okay, enough for the talk." Standing up, Elder Cheng looked at Yang Ze before smiling. "Shall we take a walk?"

Yang Ze stood with a yawn before nodding in response. He too noticed the presence of ten creatures to their right, that were closing in. There were a few on the left too, but at the moment, they were much further away. So he didn't care about them.

"I will take care of the left ones, you can take the right. We will meet again at the same place." Without wasting any time, he jumped into the distance before disappearing.

Yang Ze looked at his back before turning his head in another direction. He was able to receive the breath and heartbeats the moment Elder Cheng finished his story. Walking for a while, he soon met the intruders. It was a group of grey wolves.

"Hooh."

Both Yang Ze and the wolves were observing each other. To the wolves, there was an oppressive feeling coming from the person in front of them. It was as if they were facing a beast bigger than anything they had faced till now.

While Yang Ze was looking at them silently, the wolves were slowly making a circle around him.

"Heh." With a sneer, Yang Ze raised his hand and covered it with Qi.

"Woooo."

Sensing the sudden movement from the prey in front of them, the wolves at the back suddenly pounced on him.

But the moment the first wolf jumped, Yang Ze just shook his head before raising his hand as an illusory tiger claw formed in his hand, turning his hand into that of a tiger. After that, Yang Ze raised his hand and trusted forward with a finger towards the wolf. It all takes time to explain but happened in the blink of an eye.

By the time the other wolves processed the situation, there was already a body lying on the ground motionless. There was just a single hole that was poked on its head that was bleeding out with some white brain residue.

Without waiting for them to respond, an illusionary claw formed on his left leg. Bending his knees, Yang Ze shot at the nearest wolf near him. The moment he shot, his figure blurred before becoming normal, and on his feet lay another wolf with a hole in its head.

"Let's finish this." Shaking his head in disappointment, Yang Ze decided to end it soon. When he saw the wolves, he was filled with high hopes. He thought he finally found an opponent that could make him use his strength. Unfortunately, he was bound to be disappointed. With a forced laugh, he looked at the remaining wolves before plunging towards them. Within a span of a few breaths, more than ten wolves lay dead on the ground. This entire process was surprisingly fast as if what he did was something insignificant.

"So, this is my strength now?" Looking around him, Yang Ze stood silent. Killing these wolves, he didn't feel the slightest joy. Today it was them who died, perhaps tomorrow it would be his turn. Even though he was in this world for around two months, there were many things he didn't know about.

Clasping his hands and bowing in the direction of the wolves, Yang Ze made his way back to the place where he and the elder Cheng parted ways. It didn't take long for him to reach the place. Closing his eyes, he could hear the distant howl.

"Sure enough." After waiting for a few minutes, the howls were replaced by dead silence. A few moments later, the blood-soaked figure of Elder Cheng walked out of the woods.

"You are early." Looking at Yang Ze who didn't have a single drop of blood spilled on him, elder Cheng was surprised. He had expected this boy to be extraordinary, but he didn't think this guy would be so strong. From the looks of it, his strength was equal if not greater than himself.

"You could say it was an animal instinct. They retreated the moment I rushed towards them." Yang Ze lied without batting an eye. There was no way in hell he was going to show off his strength in front of a complete stranger.

"Good for you." With a smile, Elder Cheng and Yang Ze made their way back to the caravan. As for whether he trusts what Yang Ze just said... No one knows except for himself.

"The journey from tomorrow would be more dangerous and difficult. I would advise you to take a rest in case we really are unfortunate."

Looking at the screen, Yang Ze exhaled slowly. Right now they were in the middle of a forest up into the mountains. The roads they were walking on right now were narrow and almost non-existent.

"Hey, why don't you guys just make a proper good road here on the mountains? It would take some time, but will be beneficial in the long run." Yang Ze who was annoyed by the constant bumps on the road finally called out to Elder Cheng.

"Heh. Well, we tried. But the thing with this area is that no matter what kind of road you construct, it will all be destroyed in the rainy season. During that time, there are constant landslides. So, it's not that we don't want to build here, but we can not."

'Interesting.' In his past life, he also used to live in the mountains. The area he lived in was situated in the danger zone. Yet, with the help of technology, there were wide open roads.

'Well, each world has its own uniqueness.' With this thought, Yang Ze closed his eyes, yet the constant bumps on the road were enough to put a frown on his face.

....

While Yang Ze and the rest were travelling, an entirely different scene was playing out in the place where Yang Ze had killed the wolves.

Right now three figures clad in black were looking at the corpses on the ground. The silence lasted for a long time before a hoarse voice echoed.

"How strong?"

After a brief delay, a pleasant feminine voice replied back.

"One clean hit to the head. I am guessing, he is trained in hidden weapon arts. Judging by the efficiency and how fast he killed, I would say he is proficient in it as well as knows some movement techniques.

Patting her hand on the grass, the woman stopped for a moment before speaking again. "No footprints, I am guessing lightweight art."

"Interesting." The man with the hoarse sound went silent for a moment before speaking again. "Should we test some more?"

"No." It was at this time, the third person spoke. "My guess is the same as hers. We should make preparations."

"Understood."

.....

In the caravan, Yang Ze was looking at his surroundings. Looking at the trees that were taller than five-story buildings and various flowers he had never seen before, he was in a trance. Even though the sun was right above their head, the temperature remained somewhat cold.

"Huh?" Twitching his nose, Yang Ze suddenly looked into the distance with a dignified expression.

"Don't worry about it. The forest is never peaceful, the smell of blood is not of humans but animals." Elder Cheng whose eyes were fixated into the distance spoke slowly in a dignified tone. Even though his expression was that of calmness, Yang Ze could still sense a trace of anxiousness in his voice.

"Hmm." Nodding his head Yang Ze averted his gaze from the forest.

"Hehe. I can see that you have taken a particular interest in Hua Lin." Elder Cheng looked at Yang Ze with a smile before speaking in a meaningful tone.

"Hmm? Her name is Hua Lin?" Yang Ze who was looking at the woman in the other carriage with five other guards nodded his head in understanding. Out of everyone, she was the most chatty one. Constantly troubling Hua Chen to talk about his experiences. And if that wasn't enough, she would even bother him to tell her about his experiences. For a moment, Yang Ze wondered just how peaceful this journey would have been if not for her presence.

"Want me to act as a matchmaker?" There was still a wretched smile on Elder Cheng's face.

"It's still too early." Yang Ze shook his head in refusal. What a joke... it was already a pain to spend a few days with her. Thinking about how they would stay together after their marriage... he didn't dare to imagine it.

"HAHAHHAA." Laughing out loud, Elder Cheng mistaken his silence for his embarrassment. He looked around before slowly moving closer to Yang Ze and whispering in his ears. "Well, you can try talking to her once we reach our destination. I am sure she will not reject a talented person like you."

"Hmm." Since it was of no use to talk him out of this, Yang Ze just nodded in response.

After a while, he took a deep breath before asking. "How long till we reach our destination?"

"Well, by tomorrow morning... We will not stop at night, so I am guessing we will reach our destination as soon as tomorrow morning."

"I see."

Without saying another word, Yang Ze looked at Hua Lin before closing his eyes with an inexplicable smile on his face.
