1. The Beginning

Alice POV:

It's a warm day today.

I woke up, did my morning duties and I rushed to the kitchen.

"Hey, redhead! Good morning. I'm starving", my wolf Hope said in my mind.

"I know, right? We trained a lot yesterday" I replied to her and she wiggled her tail.

"Dad will be furious If he knew", she said in my mind and I chuckled inwardly.

"Good morning", I whispered as soon as I arrived, smiling at the Omegas who were at the kitchen.

They gave me a slight smile and looked down.

They're so scared of my father, who is this pack's Alpha, after he killed an Omega who worked for us that they were scared of talking to me.

But that omega poisoned my mother and she died afterwards.

We'll never know why he did it because my father couldn't even question him about it.

They served the breakfast at the dining room and soon my father came out of his room and he made his way to greet me.

"Good morning, pup", he said, kissed my forehead and he was making his way out walking through the dining room to the living room.

"Dad, won't you have breakfast?" I asked him, he just shook his head and left.

I frowned.

But I was relieved at the same time.

When I was just a pup, my father and I used to be really closed to each other.

But now, I can only talk to Henry, his Beta and Susan, the pack's Doctor.

I quickly finished my breakfast and I checked the time on my cellphone.

"Damn, it's 8 O'clock already" Hope said and I sighed.

The pack members would be already training by now.

"I guess we won't be leaving to the training ground today, Hope. How about some hidden way out?" I suggested and she howled in joy.

"Can I go hunt?" She asked me.

"Not today, Hope. We can't get caught, we have to wake up while it's still dawn for that", I told her but I felt bad.

We're not allowed to leave the Pack House and it's already risky for us to get out hidden like that.

I don't know what could happen to me but I'm sure it wasn't anything near good.

"Can we go tomorrow? Please, it's been a while. You owe me that and a free run." She said and I sighed again.

"Fine." I gushed.

Odete, the head of the omegas, came in to clean the table.

"Pup, don't you put yourself into trouble." She said smiling and winked at me.

"You know I can't help it." I said before I laughed.

Odete and the omegas that works at the Pack House are very loyal to the Alpha.

I mean, all of the pack members seemed loyal to him or maybe they are just scared of him.

But still, Odete never ratted me out and I'm forever grateful for that.

I thanked her and I went to my bedroom, it was on the highest part of the pack house.

I changed my clothes. I wore a sweatpants and sweatshirt with a hoodie.

I had to disguise myself so I can get out and still try to remain hidden as much as I could.

I know how it sounds but like I said, I'm forbidden to go out anywhere outside the Pack House.

I'm very skilled so I just opened the door to my balcony and I jumped on the rooftop.

I sneaked a peek all around the Pack House to make sure there wasn't anyone and I made my way down.

I ran to hide myself behind a tree.

I still feel like someone is watching my every move, that happens all the time I go out hidden.

"It's good to feel the fresh air entering my nostrils." I said to Hope in my mind.

"I just wish I could also shift", she said and I agreed.

I decided I'd go pay Dr Susan a visit.

I ran for about 15 minutes until I could see the Pack's clinic.

I stealthy went inside and she was on her office.

"Hi, Dr Susan" I said and she startled.

"Pup, you scared the shit out of me. What are you doing here? Are you OK?" She asked and I chuckled.

"Yes. I just thought I'd come see you. I was bored." I told her smiling and she smiled back at me.

"Alpha Randall won't be happy if he gets to know about it." She chuckled afterwards.

"I know, but look at me. I'm already 22 and sometimes I still feel like I'm 5." I joked, but deep inside, that was exactly how I was feeling inside.

She looked down and then up at me again.

"You know you can always count on me. Besides, it's been a while since the last time I had you checked up so I'll examine you again today." She stated and I chuckled.

"I think I can deal with that." I said and we spent the day together.

Liam POV:

It was about 9:30am and I finished checking on some e-mails.

Someone knocked on my office's door.

"Come in." I said and the door opened.

"Sir Levi, you have an appointment with the advertising agency's team in an hour." My secretary let me know.

"I'm on my way." I said and she left.

I stood up and went to check myself in the bathroom inside my office.

"I'm having a bad feeling about today and a good feeling about tomorrow." Alec said in my mind.

"I think that living in the Human Realm got you really nuts, Alec." I replied to him and he chuckled.

Today they'll present us their publicity plan for my company.

I'm the CEO of a Jewelry Company in the Human Realm.

"Prospero, let's go. Let's Devon taking care of things around here for a while." I mind-linked my second in command.

"I'm ready, Liam." Prospero replied through mind-link back at me.

Most of the employees that works for me are Humans, so we all use different names and we move from time to time.

Currently, we're living in the Northeastern, US.

I went to the parking lot and Prospero was already there.

I drove us until the agency and once there, the director and the owner of the advertising agency were already there to greet us.

"Sir Levi, Sir Spencer. It's so nice to finally meet you. That's my right-hand man, Fred and I'm the owner, Christian. Welcome to BeDaring Agency!" He said after he gasped when he saw us, while they both offered their hands.

"What a preppy!" Alec mocked them in my mind and I had to agree with him this time.

We shook hands and I slightly smiled.

"Good to be here. It's nice to meet you too. So, shall we?" I asked and they nodded.

They took us to a spacious room and while we were passing through, I noticed many people staring at us.

"They weren't expecting tattooed men that looks like Vikings. That's for sure." Prospero mind-linked me and I chuckled inwardly.

"If you notice the women's gazes, you'd see that they are actually interested." I mind-linked him back.

"That's for you. I'm mated, Liam." He said and I smirked.

Of course I wouldn't do it to him or Kathlyn, his mate.

They're part of what lasted from my horde.

"I'll have some good time for us both, don't worry." I told him and he chuckled.

"You're wasting our precious time. I want my mate." Alec said in my mind and I gulped hard. I definitely don't want a mate.

We entered the office and when Fred was about to begin the presentation. Christian cellphone's ringed and he picked it up.

"What? I'm busy right now. I don't have time for you." He gushed and I frowned.

Luckily, they were all Human and they had no idea how high my senses were, as high as the Werewolves.

"Sir, please. I think Layla, your secretary, are in labor. She won't make it to the presentation." I heard on the other side.

"That's none of my business. You deal with it and I want these papers right away. Send someone." He gushed again and I got enraged.

"Liam, calm down. We don't want this whole place to burn, I'm smelling smoke and it's coming from your body." Prospero said through mind-link and I took a lungful of air trying to cool down.

"You know what, stay right there. I'm coming there myself to get it." Christian said.

He smiled at us.

"I'm sorry. I'll just solve a little problem and I'll be right back." He said and I nodded.

"Follow him. I don't know what might happen to that pregnant woman if you don't intervene, Liam." Alec said in my mind and I was worried about it too.

He left and after a few seconds, I decided I'd follow him.

I won't be spending my company's money on this kind of advertising agency.

The collaborators always come first for a leader.

"I'll be right back." I told Fred without even looking at him, all I could see in front of me was the door.

I just opened it and left.

I followed his cigarette and gum scent and I found him.

"What a mess you made here, Layla. There's water everywhere." He said out loud.

Everybody turned to stare at me and Christian did the same.

"Oh, Sir Levi. I'm so sorry for that." He said, apologizing.

I took my cellphone and called the emergency.

I ignored him and approached his secretary.

"Hey, are you OK? How's the pain?" I asked her and she was panting.

"Getting worse. I'm sorry, Sir. I don't think I'll be holding it for much longer." She said to me.

"Is there somewhere she can lay down?" I shouted to everyone.

"Only inside Fred and Christian's office, Sir." Some guy said and I lifted her bridal style.

"Someone call her husband; the emergency will be coming at any minute." I ordered.

"And someone show where the fucking office is, so she can relax." I commanded and another woman stood in front of me.

"This way, Sir. Please." She said and I followed her.

"Prospero, let's leave in a few minutes." I mind-linked him.

"I knew you'd say that. I've heard what happened." He replied.

After some minutes, the emergency arrived and they took her to the hospital.

I sighed in relief.

Christian and Fred glared at me. Many of their employees were still there.

"Sir Levi and Sir Spencer. I'm so sorry for all the mess." Fred said and I couldn't help myself and I punched their faces.

"Mess? Is that what you call one of your employees in labor and you turn your back at her instead of helping her? I won't be signing any contracts with you. You have to learn on how to be a man before trying to be a good leader and deserves the amount of money I almost spent here." I said and we left, Alec was roaring in pride in my mind.

Afterwards, Prospero and I had lunch.

I decided I'd do my own advertising.

I worked on it for hours.

Suddenly, I heard my office's door opening and I glared at it.

"Liam, you OK? It's late. Everybody left already." Prospero let me know and I nodded.

"Yes, I think I'll be staying until dawn today." I told him and his eyes opened wide in surprise.

"All right, then. Do you need something? I can stay." Prospero asked.

"No need. You can go back to Kathlyn and consider her request to join the company." I told him and he sighed.

"No, thank you. I wouldn't focus on my job properly having her around" Prospero said, winking at me and left.

I just chuckled and I went back to my business.

After an hour or so, Prospero mind-linked me, desperation and concern laced on his voice.

"Liam, you need to come here right away. It's an emergency, someone invaded the mansion." He said and I stood up at once and I teleported to my office.

"Liam…" Prospero was about to say something but I raised my hand.

I started to sniff around my office at the mansion and I smelled a werewolves' scent.

"Werewolves." I whispered and I started to look around.

I opened my drawers and some runes were gone.

I turned to glare at Prospero.

"They stole our runes. Gather two guards, we'll be going to the Werewolves Realm to get to the bottom of it." I commanded and Prospero nodded, storming out of the office.
