 Promising herself due to the incident that nothing would ever make her cross path with him again, Maya found herself torn between signing the contract marriage to save her sick mother or rejecting it to see her mother dead.

Clara didn't know how to tell Maya what was happening. She knew Ann didn't tell her for reasons best known to her but she felt she had had enough of it already.

If there was anyone who could talk to Ann and make her open up freely, that person was Maya but she wasn't in town.

Clara called Maya to inform her. She didn't want to sound like a snitch but there was no other way to do it.

'Call Ann now and tell her to come right home. There's something I need to share with you but it requires the presence of Ann before I can say anything', Clara texted and pressed the send button.

Maya got the message and did as told but Ann didn't pick up her calls. That was when it occurred to her.

'We always walk together and I'm sure today is a lecture day so why will Clara and Ann be separated?', Maya thought as all sorts of things came to her mind.
