Unwanted banquet invitations

Barry's face turned red as he finally realised what he had said.

Joshua said irritably, "You know how old she is, what were you babbling about before?"

Barry slowly calmed down, annoyed, wondering what he had just said and why he was suddenly talking about it.

But why had Joshua put his sober-elves in the same sentence as his cousins?

Nancy was definitely going to have children later, but how old was she now? And even if she does have a beautiful little girl, what does that have to do with those mixed cousins ...

But, what's not to say though? He and his cousins are not particularly close, but they are family after all. A mere sober-elves, a mere object of his, what was there not to say?

Joshua noticed his frown creeping up and sighed at his own slip of the tongue. He didn't want to dwell on the subject with his friend; sober-elves were, in current society, the private property of werewolves, and for him to talk about their private property in front of them was like Barry focusing on Letitia all the time.

It's OK, but it's not necessary.

And it's rude.

"Okay, stop this conversation." He irritably scratched his fingers through the hair on the front of his forehead, a gesture that made him extraordinarily attractive, "I know what you say, I'll figure it out, you're always on my side, right?"

Barry didn't think twice about responding to him, "That's for sure!"

After saying that he suddenly thought of something else, if his best friend succeeded, what would be his relationship with his own sober-elves?

"Anyway, you have to be careful about everything too, I got word that the Alpha of the Gerrard family, yes that Larkin Gerrard. he's a brain eaten fool, don't know how he got into the heir's seat. He already knows about your purchase of a beautiful sober-elves at the sober-elves shop and will probably use it as a talking point afterwards. You should beware of him going mad when it's recently Parliamentary time again. You've attacked them before with the sale of sober-elves, and there's no telling what he's going to do now." He added, doing his best to keep his mind off the future.

"I got it." Joshua nodded as he looked out the window, a line of people were walking in with a tall werewolf.

It was his father who had arrived.

Both men saluted respectfully. Joshua kept his salute and whispered, "What is your command?"

His father had always been pleased with the only son, and he had brought a message this time.

He told the pair that tomorrow there would be a banquet hosted by Larkin Gerrard, given in the name of the Gerrard family.

Larkin Gerrard wanted Joshua Fielding to attend and made a point of suggesting that he would like Joshua Fielding to bring his beautiful sober-elves with him.

"Got it." He said stoically, "I'll bring her to the event."

Joshua and Barry looked at each other, both of them understanding full well that the purpose of this party was not innocent!

The three men were silent, each with his own thoughts.

Joshua's father and he share the same blood, and even Joshua is more like his father. When the two men were silent, there was a slight resemblance on the sides of their faces. His father still holds the position of head of the family, but in fact, everyone in the pack knows that he has delegated all affairs to his only son, and he trusts him with decisions and parties.

This is the difference between Larkin and Joshua; Joshua has his father's favour, while Larkin, although he is also an Alpha, still has to compete with his siblings in the family for the position of heir.

...

Letitia's POV

This was Letitia's first time in the sober-elves holding room, a room not quite like the one she had been described in the sober-elves shop when she had listened to the training.

According to the description, once they entered the holding room, they were required to attach a chain to the back of their collar and be locked in a cage in the room by a servant. The keys were in the master's hands and he would come and take them away when he had finished talking about his business.

They have a small range of movement and are not allowed to talk, and they will be watched exclusively by someone. They are only allowed to drink some water in the holding room, they are not allowed to eat food and, of course, no food would have been brought to them.

Before entering, Letitia's heart was terrified of this place, a strange place she had never been to before, and it was certainly scary to think about. Walking down the corridor before the servants led them both in, she tried desperately to control herself and not subconsciously look back.

She felt terrible and subconsciously did not want to leave her master. But it was her master's order and she could not disobey it. All she could do was try to keep herself walking steadily and not cry.

Nancy on the other hand was behaving differently, she was shaking all the time.

Letitia had only just noticed the sober-elves, the first time she had met the new sober-elves outside the shop. she was beautiful, she looked soft, and of course, her master looked badass, a bad-tempered playboy at first glance.

She also had a mature, voluptuous glow about her, and at a glance had had some intimate behaviour with her master.

But she didn't seem to have been pregnant?

That was odd. The sober-elves generally had a relatively young childbearing age. Werewolves didn't care if they were fit to bear children, nor would they give them any contraception. From the conversation they had just had, Barry had complained about the decrease in female sober-elves. She was supposedly always around Barry, but never got pregnant. This is completely confirming that it was intentional on the part of her master.

The two were taken into the sober-elves holding room.

Joshua's servant was well trained and did not dare to disobey his master's wishes at all. Even though these were two lowly female sober-elves, his eyes didn't fall where they shouldn't, and he served the fruit in silence, nor did he shrink them into their cage, and just quietly closed the door.

There was no stool in the room and Letitia subconsciously found a corner to sit in, so she could finally catch her breath.

After a few minutes, the servant left and Letitia breathed a sigh of relief and was about to go quietly to the window for a breath of air when she heard Nancy suddenly say, "What's your name?"
