Alice's identity

Alice swallowed nervously and waited for Aunt Daisy to tell her the truth. Having lived with Aunt Daisy for so many years, she respected her and appreciated her, but really didn't know her at all.

Seventeen years seemed to have left no trace on her, and Aunt Daisy didn't look like a woman in her forties at all, but rather in her early thirties.

Yet in all these years, although there have been many suitors, Aunt Daisy has never been interested in any man.

Alice wonders privately if Aunt Daisy is afraid that her future man will treat her badly. But she was too young to ask this question directly.

Not to mention that Aunt Daisy's cold face is very intimidating.

"Come and sit down." Aunt Daisy greeted Alice as she sat down first on the sofa in the living room.

As soon as Alice saw Aunt Daisy's stance, she knew she was ready for a long talk, and with mixed feelings, she sat down opposite Aunt Daisy, her posture straight.
