Slitting of wrist

Letting out a long breath, Alice came up to Lestat again and said sincerely, "How can I help you?"

But Lestat said coldly, "I don't need your help."

Alice choked, "But you look like you're in a bad way."

"Nothing to do with you."

"Er..." wondered Alice, did all vampires have a stinky temper one way or another?

She took a breath, put aside the caution she'd felt earlier and pointed to a small flag not far away, saying, "See? That's the spot marker for the orienteering competition, and someone will be here in five minutes tops."

Seeing no reaction from Lestat, Alice pointed to the sky again and said, "It's nine in the morning, the weather forecast says it's going to be a sunny day, the sun could come out at any time, and you're still sitting here, is that really okay?"

Lestat's eyes changed slightly, his expression tightened and he looked at Alice as if she were a viper with a viper's snout, cold and cruel, "Are you threatening me?"
