Lestat had only said that the Soul Stone needed to be recharged, but he had not told her what it was used for after it was recharged, and she could not help but be a little curious.

Lestat's movements gave a slight pause.

He didn't turn around, just whispered, "I'll tell you more about that in the future, but for now, let's look at Bones of Cain."

Alice felt that Lestat had a point, so she stopped asking questions and walked over to him to study the Bones of Cain.

From a distance the Bones of Cain appeared to be a strange stick-like object, but on closer inspection it became clear that it was in fact very elaborately made.
