After informing his friends about his new goal, Blake went to find Prince Carl to ask him for some help regarding his plans.
Alas, Prince Carl wasn't at home when Blake visited him.
As it turns out, the current Swordfish King, his Majesty Carlos the VIII, had sent his son and daughter to England to collect protection fees from the government there.
"Huh? Since when did the English Monarchy bow its head down to a Brazilian-Japanese Kingdom? And wait, I thought the Salt Family was in charge of the UK? Why are Carlos' descendants collecting money from the English's government when it's part of another powerful family's turf?"
"Ahahaha, a lot of things have changed since your death, Master. One of the bigger changes besides the downfall of Magic and Martial arts is that seven out of the Eight Retainer Families have fallen into nonexistence." Ancestor Kun stroked his beard and replied.
Upon mentioning of the Eight Retainer Families, Ancestor Kun couldn't help but reveal a sad look.
"Fallen into nonexistence? Wait what? What happened?" Shocked, Blake slammed the table and asked.
Only 500 years had passed since he died, yet seven out of the Eight Retainer Families have either been destroyed or forgotten...Blake couldn't believe this.
It was Blake's idea to ask his friends to go and start families to continue their bloodlines after all.
So when Ancestor Kun told Blake about what had happened in the past 500 years, the teenage boy was seething with rage.
"Heh, I can't believe it. To think the millennial old United Nations would have the gall to try and destroy my inheritance! Imbeciles!" Blake slammed his hands on the jade table again, shattering it into pieces like it was made of sand.
"Calm down, Master. The United Nations has become a strong enough force to contend with the Swordfish Kingdom. Despite not having a Magic Ancestor, they still have plenty of Magic Kings under their wing. Even if you're mad today, I need you to calm down."
"Don't ask me to calm down! I AM CALM!" Blake furiously roared.
Then again, this was to be expected.
Anyone and everyone would feel angry if they found out that the inheritance they left to keep the world in check has been destroyed by a five thousand year old alliance that stayed docile during the Angelic Saints War.
To be stabbed in the back by a declining force, Blake felt that he should have eradicated the United Nations along with all the world governments together back then.
He wouldn't care if his mercilessness plunged the world back into the dark ages. Hell, he would be happier if that were the case now.
Alas, he didn't burn the allied forces in one big hellfire so he could only blame himself for the destruction of his inheritance.
Nonetheless, Blake decided to not get revenge on them yet since there's only one of him, and maybe 400+ Magic Kings he needs to deal with in order to weaken the United Nations.
Moreover, Blake didn't visit Ancestor Kun for the sole purpose of finding out what happened to the Eight Retainer Families. He visited so Ancestor Kun could help him in making a sect.
Thus, after another round of slamming tables, the two finally got down to business.
"So according to the blueprints here, you want me to find you a plot of land for a cheap price?"
"Yes, can you do it?"
"Pft, this is easy. I just need to-" With a wave of his hand, Ancestor Kun used his martial qi to retrieve a scroll from one of the cabinets.
He unfurled the scroll, scribbled something on it, before he snapped his fingers, sending the scroll out the window. Curious, Blake watched in silence.
Moments later, a different scroll came flying through the window before it finally landed in Blake lap.
"What's this?" Blake asked Ancestor Kun, not knowing whether he should pick up the scroll or not.
Ancestor Kun on the other hand, merely smiled back at the young boy.
Blake saw his reaction and nodded his head. Unfurling the scroll that sat on his lap, Blake proceeded to read the contents written within the scroll.
"To Blake Chaos,
This is a deed to a plot of unmanaged land located in the southeast of the Swordfish Kingdom. Because my ancestor is asking me for this plot of land in your place, I decided to bestow this plot of land for free. If you need any other assistance, just show this scroll to the nearest outpost to borrow some soldiers to help you.
Signed, Carlos the VIII."
After reading out the contents of the scroll, Blake was speechless. "This...This..."
"Haha, no need to thank me, Master. I just did what a filial disciple would do." Ancestor Kun scratched his nose while he put on a smug look. He felt proud that he could help his master out.
But then, Blake replied. "This is an abuse of familial power."
"...…Just be happy for once, damnit." The old ancestor grunted in reply.
At the end of the day, Blake left Ancestor Kun's palace satisfied. With the scroll in hand, Blake called his friends over to his house before he shared the news to his friends.
The next day, Blake brought Zack, Amelia and Willford to the promised empty plot of land southeast of the Swordfish Kingdom.
"Would you look at that...The king of a kingdom casually gave me a plot of unmanaged land. But he forgot to mention that this plot of land is as big as a district in Tokyo!" Blake's face palmed before he shouted at the sky in annoyance.
He merely wanted a medium sized plot of land to build some houses and call it a sect. He did not expect the King to give him a piece of land that could be turned into a city, a very big one at that!
"I swear, the people of this generation's common sense is less than mine." Blake lightly sighed.
