Brighter than a Supernova

Amid the silence were the rising calls of the police officers. They had so many people lying on the ground, and most of them were bleeding from wounds that could have killed them. At the silence after the pandemonium, June pushed Ludwig off of him and ran to the steps that led to the pool of red.

However, as soon as the sweet, metallic scent of rusty blood slapped his sense, June stopped walking. He stared at the pile of humans lying on the ground before him. His mouth opened, but no words came out.

"You need to back off from here." One of the officers saw June standing there. He had to push the civilian back to the safety of the quarters in case some others were not yet done.
