Revenge is also a Form of Understanding

*BOOOM

Aavesh's blackened body flew like a Ragdoll in the Elemental Training Room.

"I did warn you- Tribulation Lightning is too strong for Low level cultivators", Sabine spoke while Helping Aavesh get up.

*Puff

Aavesh exhaled out some black gas before saying, " I know - Again!"

Sabine shook her head wryly at this- she never met a child with such determination to get struck by Tribulation Lightning.

To be honest she was very shocked when she found out that Aavesh actually had affinity to the Tribulation Actualized Element - That element was very rare- No one truly knew how to gain affinity to it, It almost happened by luck or some Divine Gift or some unknown factors...

But still- it was a Very Unluck Element, She read the methods left behind by previous users and it gave her extreme Goosebumps.

She looked back at the kid and now knew why he was trying so hard, No wonder... Being stuck by Tribulation is much much much better than the other ways...

Besides he also had Lightning Affinity, which was good as well-

'Good Luck Kid with this approach Kid, No one envies you now... '

Aavesh on the other hand braced for another Tribulation Lightning strike as he flew back again from the impact...

His Body was covered with injuries and burnt black skin. Aavesh could hear a slight ringing in his hears as his body hurt from the shock and burns on his skin.

The Tribulation Element fried through his Entire Being! It fucking jerked his soul as well...

The Lightning Element was no joke either... His Energy apertures on his skin were crying - His Meridians were also trembling.

He may have decent affinity but Lightning Element was exceptionally hard to sense at First- It was not powerful for no reason after all.

His Organs hurt from the repeated shocks - Luckily his Augmented heart was pretty strong and didn't stop with all the Lightning Strikes...

But he couldn't raise the intensity level-

He could only continue this way- No shortcuts here, He Must endure Everything.

But he smiled, ' It hurts lesser now - I think I am beginning to sense something... Maybe a Few More Days... I should be able to fully sense it- Ha'

*Cough *Cough *Cough He coughed out Terribly- Small Droplets

But he got up and took the Lightning Strike again...

After 7 more tries, A somewhat disfigured Aavesh left with Sabine's support to the Medical Room where he lied down in a Translucent Green Vat...

His injuries painfully healed as he waited inside for 20 Minutes.

After sometime Aavesh got out from the Vat and wore a new set of Clothes as the Old ones has been burnt down.

He still felt numb from it all but shook his head to shake it off. He then walked to the Cafeteria where the others had begun eating Food.

The Food was extremely Nutritious but not Tasty at all- It was some Green Grub with Bitter Grey Colored Juice, the Taste was ok but having it everyday would drive a normal human insane.

Feasts like before would only be held again if they all scored full marks in the academic Subjects or Reached Peak of Stage 0.

But the Problem War- They all sucked at Academics and no on was close to Reaching Level 1 of stage 0, not to mention Peak...

Life could not be harder for the kids.

Aavesh simply grabbed an empty plate and sat down next to ErDa Ming, who turned his head curiously - sniffing Aavesh, " You smell burnt and... bitter? What did you do?"

"Got Struck by lightning and put into a healing vat- Huh you don't look too good either, You got some recent scars on your Palms and some on your face - What happened to you?", Aavesh asked back curiously as he put some Green grub on his plate.

"Me- I'm heightening my senses- You can see that I am Blind-", ErDa Ming pointed to his white Eyes with his Greyish Yellow fingers.

The Kid looked Positively Drained, and tired Even the Dhampir dude looked alright with with albino skin... Sheesh

"Smart - You have an entity that has Possessed your Eyes But gives you the Opportunity to become Powerful with your Remaining Senses... Cool", Aavesh replied as he closely observed ErDa Ming's Pale White Eyes.

His Aeon Eyes could sense things out of order- Plus his Eye Augmentations also highlighted a strange Divine Fluctuation within ErDa Ming's Eyes- This confirmed that there was something sentient within those Eyes...

All in all this Matched this Matched the strange requirements a Possessed Psyker Class Cultivator should have .

ErDa Ming wasn't blind- just that there was a spiritual Entity that was occupying his Eyes - making it unusable in Normal Situations.

But in abnormal Situations - Hehe, it would be a blood bath.

"How did you know that I have something in my Eyes?", ErDa Ming immediately asked back with a curious expression.

"Dr. Corvus told that you were Possessed Psyker Nom- which has a hard requirement of a Body part being possessed - Nom Nom-You simply Match the Profile - Nom Nom Nom Nom", Aavesh replied while eating his Grub hungrily - it may not be tasty but it was food for his hungry stomach.

"Oh- You have such a Good Memory! No wonder you are the Top in Subjects among all of us-"

Suddenly Everyone's eyes locked on to Aavesh, as if like staring at a God like being...

Aavesh felt the uncomfortable stares at him and almost choked on his food.

He Forcibly swallowed in the Grub and asked in an annoyed voice," Ok- What's up with you guys? You all weren't exactly happy to even look at me before -"

"You are very hardworking!", Ekon, the Paladin- spoke smiled brightly spoke. The others nodded and smiled enthusiastically as Aavesh's suspicion for them only increased.

"You are smart as well... I can sense a fellow intelligent person", Angelo, the Armiger- spoke as if it was a matter of fact.

"...", Aavesh really felt speechless with this reply, He highly doubted Angelo's statement but did not refute, as it would mean he too was an idiot.

"Yes -Honestly, We did not like you before, We thought you were given Special Treatment by the Adults!", Atohi, the Bard- spoke Frankly with a free glint in his eyes.

Aavesh raised his Eyes at this. So there was such a Thing?

"What they mean is that we thought you were typical Arrogant lazy Bastard before- favoured by those above, never to work hard like us- but the Truth it turned out different - You don't seem to be an Idiot and you work harder than all of us" combined", Ansel, the Cruoromancer, spoke in a cold tone but one could see a Glimmer of approval in his half dead Eyes.

Aavesh's Eyes almost bulged at the last sentence...

These guys may not be too intelligent but they were Quite Perceptive and observant. He felt almost creeped out by their uncanny logic.

"Ok... So what do you want?- You all aren't doing this out of mutual appreciation - What's the real catch?", Aavesh asked in clear and concise tone.

" Told you Guys he was smart", Angelo smirked and spoke out to the others.

Ansel then spoke out," We do need your help - With Academics, we want to Pass and get high scores in the Coming assessment"

The Others nodded seriously as well. They all seemed quite determined in their Eyes- as if their lives Depended on it.

"Why? ", Aavesh asked.

The others looked at eachother and Nodded resolutely.

"We want to stay in the Training Program - If we Die, so be it but we won't give up"

"I want to know why you all want to Stay in the Wraith Knight Corps- They are not exactly saints that would embrace for you free, Tell Me, I will make my decision after you tell your Reasons first", Aavesh folded his arms and stared straight at them.

A deep silence followed this question, the atmosphere became cold and tense.

Ansel had a depressed look in his eyes and spoke slowly," You know the worst part about being a Dhampir? It's seeing the Memories of your Forefathers, I always thought I was abandoned at birth... I would have liked that ending - But My Memories showed me something Else, I wasn't Abandoned - I saw that My Parents did not abandon me but were enslaved by a Desian Slaver- They were played and Toyed with for Months Until, In the End They were faced with a Choice by the Slaver, Kill Me For Freedom or Kill Eachother for my survival - You can Guess what they chose... That Slaver- She's still out there"

"The others have similar sob stories like mine *huff But we all want revenge for what was taken from us- We lost everything and we'll do anything for Getting Our Revenge! Anything!", Ansel spoke with Raw Bloodthirst in his tone.

Aavesh gazed at the Others, their Silence meant acquiescence. They all had their own stories but one thing they all wanted in common.

Revenge.

What a familiar and Nostalgic Word.

Revenge was also a lesser form of Justice - often Misinterpreted as unvirtuous and considered Unnecessary.

But what Justice could you give to these Orphaned Children?

No. Nothing.

Sometimes Justice Needs to be delivered Personally and in the Most Base Manner.

Sometimes You need to be The Karma.

Aavesh understood that better than most.

Maybe it was his Soul Constitution or his Mythic Power - He strongly sensed a feeling that these Guys are Telling the Truth and their Raw Hatred was something he was very familiar with- He too was like that once, nah- he was still like that- Just the Variables have changed a bit.

That's all.

He took the Glass with the Grey Juice and downed it in one Gulp.

He then spoke to the other kids,

"Sure- Be Prepared for Late Night Studies- I'll explain the difficult stuff- but if you Slack , I can't be bothered to Ever Listen to you again- We'll start Tomorrow - Get Ready for Today's Academic class and be sure to Take Notes - We'll catch up later", Aavesh stood up and was about to leave when ErDa Ming asked him, "Why ?"

"I am a fool like you all- I want my own Revenge ", Aavesh replied and left.

On Hearing this, the Others looked at Aavesh in a different light.

"So He turned out to be a fellow Brother on the same Path as Us... Heh, We were wrong to judge him like that", Ekon spoke with a bright smile plastered on his face.

The others concurred as well.

"Come on Let's get up as well- Not like we'll be able to Pass just because he helps us- We need to study on our own as well- Let's Go", Angelo spoke up and the others left as well.

They weren't going to ever slack at all.

They all knew.

If they lost hers- they would lose the chance to ever take revenge with their own hands.

They could not Fail!
