Being a Cosmic Judge is Never Easy

In the end Danis died a slow and extremely painful death, not because of physical pain but of the mind.

For he exploded into incoherent sobs as Pravum was the one taking his life, forever shattered Mentally.

The one he bullied to now end, the one whose life he had made a living hell.

How Fitting.

After Danis took his last breath, Pravum knelt down and nearly peeled his cheeks off as he yelled out in sorrow and rage.

Aavesh saw this scene and felt his throat go dry, unable to speak...

He understood this pain and rage, how could he not.

He walked up to Pravum who was deeply engrossed in grief and watched on with complex emotions.

In another timeline, Aavesh had caused this grief to Pravum- grief that Aavesh of that timeline himself felt at the hands of the demons.

Maybe that was the purpose of the dance between demons and humans- the ultimate Irony- how was he different from the demons if he drove another man to such grief - if he was in Pravum's shoes - he would have done the same thing.

He too would have betrayed the resistance for a chance to save his family.

How could he not at that time?

He was weak and unable to contend against forces beyond his control...

"Hah..."

Weak

Control

'No Wonder'

Aavesh sighed as a new realisation hit his mind.

A lesson as old as time.

If the world is unjust, if there are things beyond your control, if you are weak, then the only thing to do is become strong and wrench control into the palms of your hands.

Don't blame others for betraying you, blame your weakness that you allowed it to happen, become so strong that others merely need to say your name and it must make your enemies tremble in trepidation.

Become strong enough to change the inevitable Destiny.

Aavesh's eyes burned, a mental shackle from the past had shattered within, he no longer blamed Pravum or the Crooked Clocksmith for his grief.

It had to happen and he would change his fate.

But Vengeance, yes it simple now, it was pure now-

I don't blame you for what you did to me,

Don't blame me for what I will do to you.

The hidden Demigod Rune of Perseus shined in his Soul and he could feel a change was taking place, the Rune was incredibly mysterious, even when his soul shattered the rune remained intact.

But now wasn't the time to introspect anymore, now was the time to act!

There was only one way - was he going to make the Choice?

He would.

No matter the bad blood between them in the alternate timeline, he wasn't going to make the same mistake here.

Things were different now, he was strong.

Strong enough.

"Kid, are you going to only mope here? We've got to save your family- Come!", Aavesh spoke in a Booming Voice.

This snapped Pravum awake and he immediately rushed over to get everyone out.

Aavesh then used rudimentary Elemental control to shatter the Pillar generatingnthe crimson shield- the way out was now open!

Half an hour later, around 2000 Demonized living beings had gathered out of the Underground Temple, it was Empty now- Aavesh was the last one to come out after checking the whole place out.

He had found the Unfinished Spatial Gate where they would open a stable Bridge to the Abyss, but first he had to clear the innocent people away.

These people all had been exposed to Abyssal Demon Blood mists that cause Physical Demonic corruption- it was irreversible- almost.

2 Accepted Solutions were there - Amputation of the corrupted Parts or Joining the Mongrel Crusade.

Tieflings are different from Demonized humans- their Demonic Heritage or Corruption is stable and possibly malleable but Demonized humans are incredibly Unstable- because their corruption is partial and external.

They don't have Mythic Blessing of the Abyss passed down through genes or Mythic Power Cultivation.

They will go mad inevitably and become no different from Rabid animals, hence the name mongrels, their lifespan will be pathetically short, overtime their Demonic Parts will mutate into resembling animal parts like a cruel inevitable joke.

And any progeny would carry the same cursed affliction, until divine intervention is done...

He had once seen a Machinan Axiomite nearly reverse the changes but failed in the last moment - his Authority was not enough neither was the will to force the Laws of Reality.

Oh well, that doesn't mean he can't try.

He could see these people were beginning to break down - it was going to get worse if he didn't act immediately.

"EVERYONE REMAIN IN YOUR PLACE- DON'T MOVE!", He roared out suddenly and everyone froze- sinking into shock and horror.

Even Pravum gazed back in confusion - they had just gotten out! What was he-

Aavesh's eyes glowed, one silver one blue-

His shadow became solid with a silver glow as two orbs black and white appeared - revolving around him.

Aavesh's vision changed at will- rather he infused his Aeon Mythic Powers into his Eyes temporarily to gain the Gaze of the Aeon.

He could see now-

The Chaotic demon taint had no place to exist with these mortals who did not walk on the Path of the Demon.

The Abyss had no claim over these souls!

Blue lines seemed to appear on the Tainted individuals - signifying a Violation of the Balance!

His Soul began to resonate with Laws of the Material Universe,

He was a Judge and the condition afflicting these people Violated Cosmic Order!

Order must be Restored!

The rules descended suddenly upon him and he felt a weight clench and clamp down on his Soul, preventing him from saying the Edict to command the Order.

But he couldn't stop here now could he?

He forced his will and pushed the Laws clamping down on him- and harshly retorted back,' You will obey!'

He pushed the back on the rules even further until it relented with his will and he finally uttered," OBEY! AND REVERT!"

*Shimmer

The Demonized people began to revert back to their human forms, blue light searing the Demonic Taint in their bodies away.

Within few seconds they were back to normal as Aavesh began to bleed from his eyes- and felt his throat become incredibly hoarsely.

Backlash...

Still he didn't deactivate his Mythic Powers yet- he could sense someone else hadn't changed despite his intervention.
