James’s POV
As James was returning from the kitchen, he could hear Astrid and Rowan very loudly…erm… rekindling their romance from Astrid’s room.
Good for them. Really.
James was happy that Rowan found someone that he clicked with, but for the love of God, they really need to learn how to keep it down. He glanced down at the bowl of reheated pasta he just made for Jess. His papa was right, he was in love with Jessica. But he would never say that out loud.
A part of James envied how easy Astrid and Rowan made the whole love thing look. Both of them figured out how serious they wanted to be pretty much immediately. Even when Astrid was angry with him, they made it work.
Jessica though. She wasn’t as forthright with her feelings. James never knew what she was thinking. They started out just messing around. Sex was great. Jess was a fantastic partner. She knew what she wanted, and James was more than happy to let her take it.
