The sudden appearance of the cloaked figures, for Alyssa was not a coincidence but she was ready for them this time. Without missing a beat, she erected a fiery wall of red flames between her and them, and then grabbing Marks firmly the two of them ran out the back entrance. Once they’re outside in the alley, she sealed the door to provide a little more time just in case they broke through her fire barrier quickly.
“I take it that those figures aren’t friends of yours.” Markus said still somewhat shocked with what he had witness.
“Not in the slightest.” Alyssa replied and then she pushed Markus up against the stone wall of the building. “Did you warn them I was here?”
“No, I swear! I have never seen those beings before, and nobody else knows that you are here.” Markus urged.
