As Oliver and his inhuman guards neared the nearest giant tree, the other Trebbons began to take notice. One by one, they stopped in the middle of whatever they were doing to stare, motionless, down at Oliver. One Trebbon in particular was hanging off the side of the huge tree by the ends of his stick-like fingers, swaying in the wind a hundred feet off the ground, as though it had forgotten where it was completely.
The Trebbons seemed shocked by the sight of him. Or terrified. Oliver felt sure that their jaws would be hanging open and their eyes stretched wide in their leafy heads, if they had any features to speak of at all.
