Chapter 64: She's My M--Beta

*Micah*

We’ve been searching all night, and I don’t feel as if I’m anywhere closer to finding Zariah now than I was when I first left the village.

Once we found the blood in the cave, I knew we needed to hurry. I told the others we needed to go back to the village and mobilize everyone to begin searching. That meant I had to go speak to Zariah’s parents, which wasn’t fun, and I hated the fact that I was wasting valuable time when I could’ve been out looking for her myself listening to her mother cry and her father swear he was going to rip Oscar’s head off.

He’d have to wait in line.

But as soon as I could, I broke away from them. Without Eli there to help, I had to rely on Alex and Kimber to be in charge of the situation while I was away, and Alex had determined it would be a good idea to send vehicles loaded with warriors toward the last place in the mountains where Dark Eclipse wolves had been seen.
