Everyone switched their Halloween costumes for pajamas. Ariel and Oliver were half asleep, but they didn’t want to be excluded from movie night. I agreed to let them sleep in the living room until everyone else started going to bed.
I’m in no mood to stay awake all night comforting nightmares, so we’re not watching any scary movies. I made the executive decision to watch Hocus Pocus. Hopefully, the kids fall asleep halfway through the movie and I’ll be able to go to bed at a decent hour.
Wes was sitting next to me on the couch, and he had Ariel wrapped in his arms. She was asleep on his lap, so there was no way that he was able to get her off. She latches onto people when she sleeps.
“I think Ariel is conforming for my body,” Wes whispered.
“Oh yeah. She’s never letting go. You might as well get used to this,” I laughed.
