Chapter 28: Interview With A Devil

December 1st.

Time is withering away. I didn’t realize how little time I have left. In exactly one month, I will be petitioning the court for custody of the kids. We only have a month before our lives completely change.

After the court hearing, the new year can be our salvation or the cause of our destruction.

I don’t have time to enjoy the Christmas season. The kids and I will be starting our interviews and home visits with social services to show them that the kids are happy, and our house is a safe environment for them.

Eric and I had a phone call last night and he explained the story that we need to tell the interviewers when the time comes.

Our plan: I would tell the interviewers that Eric is working during our home visits and interviews. He made sure to call them and let them know that on my eighteenth birthday I’d be petitioning the court with his approval. As long as no one wants to speak to Eric directly, then we have nothing to worry about.
