Chapter 2

"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST DO CADET 0606?!" Commander Finn busted out in frustration.

"Sir..." Kolten started to respond but what interrupted by the commander.

"Cadet 0606. That was a rhetorical question. If this was real life and not a simulation... You and everyone aboard your ship would be fucking dead! Let's run it again!"

Kolten had to succeed. His family and future depended on it. His father was Admiral David the Admiral of the infamous ship called "The Space Hammer". His father went on thousands of missions and has never been defeated in combat. Looking at himself on the screen. He knew he was a disappointment to his father.

In his training class he had a good flight deck crew. Was he a failure?

"Systems Go"

"Navigation is a go"

Shouted his team.

This simulation goal was to navigate through an asteroid field. A simple task for even a novice crew to accomplish.

"Phew" Kolten signed with sweat pouring from his brow.

"We did it!" he cries out.

"Hooray!" The Cadet crew all chanted in sync.

"Enough" Commander Finn demands.

Then he speaks up.

"Gentleman. I have one more week to turn you from cadets into part of Elonis' great military fleet. Not a single one of you are ready. You will report back here at 0500."
