Chapter 5

"Tara" Kolten hollered across the room waving at her.

Tara smiled and walk over to meet up with him half way.

She gave him a salute, then chuckled and gave him a big hug.

"Kolten, we made it!" she says with excitement.

Kolten asks her "Where are they sending you on your first assignment?"

With a big smile on her face. "I'm going to be stationed on the moon Aqautis. Patrolling Elonis."

Kolten responded saying. " That'll be awesome! You'll see some action. I hear alot of illegal smuggling and trade has going on."

Tara looks at him. "Where are you going on The Space Hammer?"

"I'm not certain " Kolten says sadly. "All my instructions tell me is deep outer rim."

Tara with excitement. "Kolten! The deep outer rim is close to Earth! You must tell me what it's like when you see it!"

"I will." Kolten chuckles.

The two say their goodbyes. Kolten leans in for a hug, and Tara kisses him on the cheek.

If they lived. It would be two years before they saw each other again.

"Kolten! Kolten!" Kolten hears his mom cry out.

He runs to her and gives her a big hug.

Then Kolten hears the commanding voice of his father. "Take good care of my ship boy, and she'll take care of you. "

Kolten being cocky said.

"Dad it's my ship now. Looks like you're stuck here in this miserable place."

Admiral David grunts under his breath. "Your mom and I are proud of you. I only wish I could join you on your adventures. By the way. Bella do you have something else you'd like to tell our boy?"

"Yes! When you return in two years. A week after your return we'll celebrate your wedding! With her being in the service too. Time will fly for the both of you." Bella said with excitement.

Kolten hugged and kissed his mother on the cheek. Then turned and saluted his father, and they parted ways.
