Chapter 11

Just as he had hoped, Tara was waiting for him in the commons.

Kolten whispers.. "Tara this way."

He leads her to an old break room that was all but abandoned when the new one was constructed. Luckily for him the old break room was only used to store extra furniture. Surely there was a bed or a couch in there that they could use.

As he unlocks the door and opens it. He motions her to follow him inside.

Once inside the room. He pulls her close and starts kissing her. Leading into making out. He goes to pull off his shirt. "smack" she slaps him.

What did he do wrong he wandered. Isn't this what she wanted?

"Hold Up Commander! We can't take it to the next level until we get married. With any luck we'll be wed in just a few short months. Let's wait. It'll be worth it." giggling and blushing as she spoke.

Embarrassed he responded.

"I'm sorry Tara. I misread your signals. We can wait if you wish."

On the outside he was disappointed, but deep down he was relieved. With them both still being virgins. He didn't quite know what to do anyways. He'd rather explore that with her back home on Elonis than on an old used military grade mattress.

"Kolten when I said I wanted some place to catch up. I meant like a pub or somewhere nice. Maybe grab some food." she said still amazed.

"Why didn't you just say so? "The Space Hammer" has a wonderful pub with great drinks and slightly better food than the mess hall on the third floor of the ship." still Embarrassed he stated.

"Will you take me there? After our misunderstanding I could use a good drink with some fish and chips." As she looked up to him with a sparkle in her eyes.

"Of course. But only on one condition. If you never speak of this to our friends, family, commanding officers, or our future kids!" he said jokingly.

"Yes sir Commander Kolten." she replied with a wink.

He kisses her on the cheek and leads her to the pub.
