Third in the World

When I was eight, my mom sold me to a man. Ever since then, my life had gone through drastic changes. Under the pressures of life, I started to take a path I could never return from. Back then, everyone called me the female top gun. Among us girls, no one else was able to receive such treatment. Many of my patrons had asked me why a nice young lady like myself decided to go down such a path. I always told them that life forced me to do what I do and they would call me pretentious behind my back. However, I really had no choice. After all, I didn’t want to die.

Back When I Was the Female Top Gun

I didn't know who her brother was. Nor did I know anything about the dark side of the world. I had always been studying quietly in the six years I had been here and had never understood such things.

"Let me tell you, her brother is the boss of the high school. His name is Wang Hao, and he has many underlings. He seems to have a good relationship with the hooligans outside the school. Basically, no one in our school dares to provoke him," Li Ting said solemnly.

I knew that Wang Fangfang was still related to that school bully. I silently reminded myself not to provoke her in the future.

Then, for the next three weeks, Li Ting kept telling me about Wang Fangfang and Liu Tao.

After school today, I walked home with Li Ting as usual.

"Shen Ling, do you know that Wang Fangfang and Liu Tao are together?" Li Ting suddenly said to me. These days, we had been talking about Wang Fangfang and Liu Tao.
