Frostine's words did not cause even the slightest bit of turmoil in Jack.

His mood had originally been sour because of those ants, but those dark clouds had vanished when Lily called him.

He happily hummed an unknown tune.

When he got home, the door swung open before he could even knock.

It was Lily.

When she saw the person who had been on her mind, she threw herself into Jack's arms, and her presence caused Jack's heart to race.

Once he felt her tremble slightly in his arms, Jack brought his arm up to pat Lily's back to provide her gentle comfort.

"It's fine now. I'm back. It's great that we don't need to get a divorce. Be a good girl now and don't cry, alright?"

The comfort allowed Lily to calm down, and she shyly pulled herself away from Jack before she tugged him in.
