HER PAST, MY CURSE

In Makenia three days had passed , still Shunaya or now call her Shaniya had not woken up yet. General Gerald had already buried  Sitara thinking its her wife Rupia, now he was worried about his daughter who still hadn't waken up till now, the doctor had told him that it will take few days for her daughter to be fully recovered and gain consciousness, but as a father he couldn't help but  still be worried.


Gerald had taken some few days off from work so that he could take care of Shaniya and spend some more time with her, missing her daughter Gerald stood from the chair he was sitting in his resting room and went where her daughter was lying on bed in her room, ever since he found his daughter Gerald used every moment he had to spend with her, he had been far from them for long now he was trying to compensate  all the time they weren't able to be together .


Gerald sat beside her daughters bed, and looked at her daughters face slowly he lifted his hand and hold his daughters little hand 


Please wake up dear, it breaks dads heart seeing you lying here, I can tolerate a sword piercing through my chest but I cant hold on seeing you like this, please give this unworthy father of yours a second chance. Gerald was speaking to her daughter who was lying on the bed .


Today his words worked a magic , Shaniya started to blink her eyes as a sign that she was about to wake up, his father was very happy, he called a maid told her to watch at her daughter and ran out to call the doctor. 


In  hurry Gerald and the doctor came back rushing to Shaniya's room, they found her fully awake, his father happiness was beyond explanations,


how are you young miss? asked the doctor, Shaniya tried to speak but found her throat dry and ended up coughing instead, his father took a glass of water and gave it to her daughter, Shaniya took a sip of the water and at least she felt much better.


Where am I? asked Shaniya weakly she was trying to remember what happened to her last the last time but found her mind being blank, confused she asked another question who I'm I?


His father was surprised after hearing what her daughter was asking, confused too he turned to look at the doctor , trying to get some answers from him.


The young miss had heat her head badly, this has caused her to loose her memory temporarily explained the doctor.


So you mean my daughter wont be able to remember anything?, Gerald asked the doctor


For now it seems she cant remember anything, but as I said its temporarily after some time she would be able to remember things, but the process might take some time and it might also be slow process. it may take months or years for her to remember everything and some rear cases people may not remember their past anymore, Explained the doctor 


What's going on? asked Shaniya confused


Gerald looked at the doctor as if asking what to do, and then turned around to face his daughter. Slowly he sat down on the bed and looked at her daughters eyes.


I'm Gerald Maximo and you are Shania Gerald Maximo. You are my daughter and I'm your father. We are the only one left in the family.


Shaniya after hearing her father explanation, was all quite trying to digest what his father told her.


After some time she raised her head , looking at her fathers eyes she asked another question`` were we close?''


No dear we were not but, starting today I promise to be a good friend and father to you, he raised his hand and said will you join me in this new journey?


Shaniya looked at her fathers eyes, she didn't know him but deep inside she felt that she could trust him ,she felt like the man before her  would never let her down. It was like she had known him all her life. with a smile Shaniya joined hands with his father. Like how they joined hands a new bond was created between them. And unbreakable relationship was build in their hearts.
