Extra: Mugetsu: The Demon In Black

Mugetsu and Rize were following a blood trail left by Zangetsu a trail that leads to a cave in the forest.

"This might be difficult if he corners us in here," said Rize.

"Yes, stay close and be on guard, Rize," said Mugetsu. They enter the cave after Zangetsu.

They stumble into a large underground cavern. Mugetsu looks around before Rize pushes him over because Zangetsu jumps down and tries to sneak attack them Mugetsu gets up and they circle Zangetsu with their swords at the ready. Zangetsu then creates a scythe it was red and looked decayed looking his right has regrown but it was thin looking.

"Here we go," said Mugetsu. They both go after Zangetsu slashing at him. Zangetsu dodges them and goes for a slash aiming at Rize's head. Rize blocks with the Demon Sword and kicks Zangetsu back into Mugetsu.

"Goodbye, Father," said Mugetsu. Mugetsu stabs Zangetsu in his stomach. Zangetsu starts to breathe heavily and Mugetsu lays his body gently and stood with him till he took his last breath. Mugetsu had a single tear come down his right cheek. Rize then takes his cloak off and covers Zangetsu's body. Rize then starts to dig a hole with his hands. Mugetsu took his cloak off and wrapped both his and Rize's around Zangetsu's body and helped Rize dig the hole. After it was done, they bury Zangetsu and marked the grave with his scythe stuck in the ground.

Mugetsu stood there in silence. Rize then leaves the cave so he can give Mugetsu some time to himself.

"At least you went out a way some don't. fighting your last battle," said Mugetsu. Mugetsu then leaves the cave.

Rize was waiting outside.

"let's get out of here before it's late out," said Rize.

"Yeah, we should return to the village," said Mugetsu. They then head back to the Sword Demon Village.

They returned and talk to the Elder.

"I see, Zangetsu had gone feral I was afraid that would happen but he knew it was a matter of time," said Elder Demon.

"Mugetsu is just happy that he laid him to rest," said Mugetsu.

"Indeed, we here at the village are glad you came back, Mugetsu," said Elder Demon. "Please stay the night here and I must give you this," said Elder Demon handing Mugetsu a letter from Zangetsu.

"What this?" asked Mugetsu.

"A letter hand to me by Zangetsu to give to you but I thought you would make it to Zangetsu before he went mad. This must be his last words to you," said Elder Demon.

"I see," said Mugetsu. Mugetsu and Rize head to Mugetsu's old home and rest up for the night. Mugetsu was in his room looking at Zangetsu's letter to him on a table near his bed while he was sitting on it. Mugetsu closes his eyes after he closed his eyes as he leans back and falls asleep.

Mugetsu finds himself standing in Azazel's throne room where he sees Azazel's shadow on his throne.

"Mugetsu, I sense you are in grief is everything alright with our new brother?" asked Azazel.

"Yes, Lord Azazel. I am sorry to make you worry, Mugetsu just lost Zangetsu," said Mugetsu.

"Ah, I see. Zangetsu was a loyal demon even when he served in my army. He was a true warrior and a good friend and it was he who told the Eleventh Devil of you his son," said Azazel. "Remember, Mugetsu every lesson your father has taught you and become the demon he wanted to become."

"Yes, Lord Azazel, thank you for your wisdom," said Mugetsu.

Mugetsu wakes up and reads his father's final word to him.

The next morning Rize and Mugetsu left the village and continue their journey.

"Thank you, Rize for helping Mugetsu," said Mugetsu.

"As I said, no problem I remember when I buried my grandfather it was really sad but usually when that happens you start to remember the good time you had with them before they went it's hard to let people go but it's because of them you can move forward," said Rize.

"I see," said Mugetsu.

"Well let's go," said Rize.
