Ch.2 Georg's wisdom

As Herbert left the small building he called home he was nearly run over by a truck from the iron mine but he couldn't slow down because he was already Five minutes late, so he ran to the corner-shop of Georg. Five meters in front of the store there were two policemen which stopped him and one of them asked him "Why are you in a hurry?". The young man answered out of breath "Well i have a meeting at Georg's store and i am already late.". "D-do you mean the shop at the corner?!?" the other officers asked with a mixture of surprise and anxiety. "y-yes why do you ask?" he asked hesitating. "That is NONE of your business" both of the policemen shouted. "Please don't get aggressive. I don't want any problems. Please!". The two officers just looked at each other nodded and the first one said "Don't worry we don't want any trouble either.". As soon as they were out of range one of the officers said "That was close, we don't want any problems with Georg or our chief" the other policemen in response started sweating and whispered "Shut up! What if someone hears you!?" but Herbert did not hear any of that, he was just glad that they didn't wanted to check his papers because he was in such a hurry that he forgot his ID at home. He just reached the little store and was greeted with the words "You are late.".

The person who noticed that was standing in the door of the store, he looked like fifty but he says he is only forty two years old. He got short white hair, wore a black leather jacket with the emblem of Rainburg `one iron ingot and a castle in the background`, a black jeans and matching black shoes with red laces. He got a calm smile on his face like always, Herbert never saw Georg stressed or in a hurry, he always had this smooth and calm smile on his rough face with the small scar left of his eye, like he is always in control and nothing could shock nor surprise him.

"I am sorry but i forgot the time and then the police stopped me." Herbert said. "Don't sweat it Herby even though i don't like that you are late you can afford it at the moment but you want to become an interpreter in the service of the Dominions military and if you gonna do that you have to be on time or you have to be early because if you are late people can die. Do you understand that?"

"How" he asked "How would people die just because an interpreter is late?" "That is simple if the an interpreter has to be fast and always ready to do there work. If two parties try to communicate and it is urgent and they have no one to translate they will try to do so even without an interpreter but that can lead to huge misunderstandings and sometimes the people think they were insulted and a fight can break out, do you understand?" Herbert just nodded. Georg turned around and said "Good good, because of that it is so important that you are going to be on time. So today we have some work to do are you ready?". "Yes i am!" Herbert said
