Taking the Enemy's Path

[Flora's POV]

I'm Flora, the Southwind Pack's luna.

Although I'm the luna, alpha blood flows in my veins. Because I don't have any siblings, the elders in the clan hope that I can find an outstanding member within the tribe to get married to and then let him be the alpha.

Since that was the case, I might as well leave the opportunity to someone I was familiar with.

My childhood friend of the opposite sex—Marshall. Since young, we had viewed each other as our mate with whom we would spend our entire life with.

However, things didn't go as planned. We had both celebrated our 18th birthdays and tried to sense it, but we couldn't sense who our mate was.

We'd been together for many years and had a deep relationship. Marshall had sworn to me that he didn't need a destined mate, that I was the only one he loved, and he'd treat me well for his entire life.

Therefore, we got married. At the wedding, Marshall took my hands and solemnly promised, "Flora, you're my one and only. No matter what happens in the future, I'll firmly stand by your side. I'll love, protect, watch over, and support you."

I thought that we would stay together like this for the rest of our lives. But one day, he suddenly brought back a woman from the Blackrock Tribe, saying that she was his destined mate, and begged me to allow that woman to stay in the tribe.

That woman was Beyonce.

He pleaded and said that I would always be his luna. If I didn't agree, his wolf, Hans, would go crazy and die.

Therefore, for the life of his wolf, I agreed.

The result was obvious. I had led a wolf into the house and had my entire tribe destroyed by this adulterous couple. I was cowardly torn apart and wasn't even left with an intact corpse.

The promises Marshall made were all bullshit.

Was the Moon Goddess joking with me? What a happy thing it was to be reborn, but she just had to let me return to the day I led the wolf into my house.

Having been given another chance to relive my life, I wasn't going to repeat the same mistake. No one can think of hurting my people. I was going to teach the scumbag and his mistress a lesson!

Just the thought of that b*tch, Beyonce, made me feel disgusted.

Logically speaking, the tribe would be safe if she was chased out. However, with the methods she had used in her previous life, Marshall would probably be seduced even more. it'd be unsure when he'd betray the tribe then.

Beyonce had snatched the crystal necklace before I died. Although I had swallowed the necklace at the last moment, I didn't think she had snatched it because she was jealous. There had to be a reason she had infiltrated the tribe. If I didn't find out the reason, the tribe would still be in danger sooner or later.

Instead of letting this adulterous couple hook up somewhere where I couldn't see, it was better to keep them under my watch so that I could monitor them.

However, if that was the case, my attitude towards Beyonce would have to change.

I looked at myself in the mirror. My face was pale and my forehead was wrapped in gauze. I looked like I was in a bad state.

It wasn't that I had done this on purpose. A few days ago, I had saved the little wolf from the Deepcloud Tribe from the turbulent river. The flood wasn't a joke. I had been soaked in the water for a long time and was even injured.

It was clearly planned for Marshall to insist on bringing Beyonce into the tribe at this time. He must have felt that I didn't have the energy to care about him.

That was how it was. In my previous life, I wasn't feeling well and only went downstairs to take a look before agreeing. I even pretended to be strong and the b*tch cried aggrievedly as if I was bullying her.

Wasn't it just pretending to be pitiful? Who didn't know how to do that!

With Lucy's help, I moved from the room, one step at a time. Every step I took was shaky as if I might fall at any moment. Then I stepped on the stairs without hesitation, stumbling and almost falling off.

Lucy held me firmly and looked at Marshall reproachfully. "If you have something to say, say it. Can't you see that Luna isn't feeling well?"

Her voice was like muffled thunder that suddenly exploded in the tribe. When the tribesmen heard her voice, they all ran over to look.

What was so important that the alpha had to report to the luna despite the fact that she was still recuperating from having saved someone?

Everyone was curious. I watched down from a height, waiting for Marshall to speak.

He looked up, but he didn't dare to meet my eyes. He stammered, "I found a slave in the Blackrock Pack and realized that she's my mate. She had suffered a lot and I want to ask you to let her stay. Don't worry, she definitely won't affect our relationship. You'll always be my luna."

I decided to put on a show as a whole set. When I heard this, my entire body couldn't take it anymore and fell back. Lucy grabbed me and I asked in a weak voice, "You found your mate?"

"Yes," Marshall gestured for the b*tch to greet me. "Hello, Flora. I'm Beyonce."

Beyonce's clothes were in tatters, and her pitiful appearance with tears all over her face earned her sympathy. If I didn't accept her now, it would seem like I was an evil person.

Of course, I wasn't the bad guy. However, I wouldn't let a real bad guy have an easy time either. I let my gaze wander between the two of them in pain and then said, "Then stay."

I left without looking back. I had only taken two steps when I fell to the ground. No matter how the tribesmen shouted, they couldn't wake me up.

I wasn't going to lose in terms of acting pitifully!
