When James woke up to the morning light, it is already the morning, past 8. He got up slowly since he had nothing major today. The classes in the uni starts at day after tomorrow so he had nothing in hurry.
He got ready and prepared himself bread and jam as he is too lazy to make anything more. He turned on the news and watched it, completely forgetting about the book.
He watched the sports for a while after breakfast. As he got bored and tuned to the news channel, he heard the stomping sound on the stairs.
It was only then that he remembered the bitch is upstairs and waited for the bitch impact.
"James where is my breakfast" James got up and left the room. There she stood in her pink satin Cami, and shorts as PJ's. she yawned as she stretched herself, side stretch. since her Pj's where sleeveless it hid nothing of her hairless white armpit, and the tattoo on her shoulder which depicted a skull, with RV, which denotes her father.
He with reluctance and will turned away, "on the counter" He replied as she brushed past him, "The Jam is on the shelf" he added afterthought.
He heard the sounds of crashing, stomping and cursing from the room, even though curious he didn't go.
"James, coming her right now" he heard the scream though and off to the kitchen.
Inside he is met with the sight of flour covered Janice pointing to the roof, where there is small hole from where apparently the flour came.
"How dare you prank me? do you want a visit from my father?" she fumed clenching her fist ready to set in a few punches.
"Oh..Oh wait, this is...not me...it should be one of my granddad's...deeds" James explained, but he know she would not believe him.
She remained silent for two seconds before she loosened her hands. "Whatever...I'm hungry prepare me a set of Bread with Jam" she moved to the kitchen sink and washed her face and hands while he arranged the bread.
"Give me that" She reached over for the bread but he backed away.
"Woah, we don't know what the powder is, you better take a bath first" He cautioned.
"No way, I'm hungry as a whale" She reached once more for the bread but due to height difference she can't dream of reaching it.
"Give it to me right this instant" She ordered her face flushed from anger.
"Okay, Okay...but it should not be blamed on me if you had stomachache" He extended his hand, she looked at the bread and didn't took it.
"What? take it quick" He said impatient.
She instead bit the bread from his hands directly.
"What are you doing?"
"Eating, idiot" She replied before she went on to eat.
"And why are you eating from my hand?" He asked.
"Shut up, did I allow you to question me?" Janice glared and went back to eat. Eventually she ended up eating three loafs, on the last bite, she deliberately bit his fingers.
"Ouch" he pulled back his hands in pain.
"Are you a bloody ghoul?" he cursed at her few times as she ignored him and went to her bedroom, not even having the decency to apologize.
"F*ck" he heard another scream. he ran out to find Janice covered in yet another flour.
"What the hell is wrong with the House?" Janice cursed as she rubbed her eyes which had powder in it.
"You can always live elsewhere" James reminded thinking this is a good time to oust this bitch.
"In your dreams, next time I find this white sh*t, it would be your funeral" She warned before she shakily climbed up to the bathroom in upper floor.
Cursing his gran, he checked the whole house for any boobie traps only to find none, same wise he checked for any trigger for the two powder rains and found nothing. Frustrated and tired of the day he flopped into the couch, he almost knocked all of the ceiling and floor but he found no indication of any trap.
He sat down watching the sunset through the window, and heard Janice stomping down the stairs and caught a glimpse of her walking past the corridor to the front door accompanied by the loud banging of the closing door.
He relaxed knowing the bitch is out of the house even if only temporarily. As he relaxed watching the setting sun completely disappear and took over by the night sky, he heard the door bell ringing.
"Coming" he got up curious who would visit at this time.
He opened the door and came face to face with a girl. he surveyed her silently and his eyes bulged immediately upon the sight of the shoulder tattoo and the face.
Its Janice. she didn't wear the tank top she wore on her departure instead, she wore a gypsy style, cream colored dress, which reached her thigh, held up only by two spaghetti straps, her sleeve were loose on the shoulder ending at the wrist tight. she had let loose waist below.
"Janice?" James questioned.
Then she smiled. Janice smiled throwing James completely in the air. It is a friendly smile she used before his parent's not the evil grin she had whenever she thought of punishing him.
"Hello, James" She greeted in a soft voice. "Can i come in?" James nodded dumbly moving out of the way.
She passed him putting down the shopping bag she had been carrying down.
James was going to question what happened to her? and if she have hit her head when ceiling opened and white powder spilled from above.
"Watch out" James pushed her away, instead taking the air strike head on.
"Cough, Cough" James coughed a few times and looked at Janice who had been alright and relaxed. He still remember the threat in the morning, he in no way want to complicate his life more than now.
James expected a rude remark or a mocking one, but neither came he looked up once more to find Janice backing off from him.
"Are you alright?" James asked worried.
Janice shook her head, confusing him, "I'm okay, you should take a bath" Janice advised.
"Yeah" James throw the reply hurrying upstairs for the bath. It took a long while to wash the weird powder from his hair. When he came out once more it is already an hour past. He walked downstairs through the corridor, drying his hair when he saw Janice still standing on the same place near where the powder fell, as if she hadn't moved.
'No, she should have returned their, there is no way she could have stood there for an hour'
"Janice, what are you doing there?" James asked then looked at the shopping bag "Should i put it in your room?"
James pointed at the bag. Janice hesitated as she looked from the bag to him and nodded.
He walked over and picked them up, when Janice walked over to him. he then walked upstairs as Janice walked closely, holding onto his hands.
'Weird, what the hell is wrong with her?' he looked down at the hand holding his.
"Oh, um, are you going to let my hand go? you know i need it to open the door" James sloped his head towards the door of her room.
Janice let got of his immediately, "sorry" which is weird as Janice never apologize she let go of him and he opened her door and went inside as he laid the bag on her bed, "Ah"
'Oh sh*t, what happened now?' hearing the sound he ran out the door to see Janice steps away, standing covered in the powder. and there behind her, a vague shadow formed out of the powder. when he blinked back, the shadow is no more, instead Janice stood their shaking.
'Oh Damn god, she is angry' Cursing his luck James, tried cooling her down.
"Janice, I'm sorry, I really checked the ceiling here..." but stopped himself when he saw tear streaming down her cheek.
'Oh, no is she going to call her father?' James felt agitated.
"Y-You should take a bath first and..." even before he finished Janice had run off to the bath which is in between his and her rooms, facing the stairs.
'Sigh, why me?' James sighed as he cleaned the white powder here and downstairs. he looked at the ceiling where the powder fell and rechecked for the trigger and found none.
He walked back upstairs to put his phone in the charger and exited just in time to meet Janice...
...which had been a wrong time.
There from bath to her room, stood Janice naked as a Just born baby, dripping with wetness. Her widened as she turned and met his eyes, his eyes widened in horror. he swore he didn't focus on any part he should not be seeing, as his gaze locked to her eyes in fear.
"Ahhhh" Janice ran into her room screaming, which sounded like her father shooting his bullet to James, and shut the door.
"Why me?!" this time he shouted it at the top of his lungs and expected a harsh shouting from Janice, but got none. it only proved to him, that he is in deep trouble.
She didn't come out for the rest of the night, so he ate his fill of dinner and went to sleep. Her Father face haunted his dreams all night.
