I was going to stand at the door and wait but it was taking too long for something to happen, so I sat on the chair of the desk and examined the bottle I was going to try one but decided against it.
I was staring at my drawing again I decided to draw it a bit earlier. I liked the way it had turned out. It was meant to be a picture of Violet but I didn’t get her hair exactly right. I still liked it though. I was surprised it had actually gone into the notebook. Because when I had tried writing in it that disappeared. This book was weird. Though I had learnt that there was a map at the back of it. I found it quite handy I liked it. Except for the part where it took note of everywhere I went and looked like a trail of blood that was sort of terrifying.
The same pair of dice I had rolled back in the real world dropped onto my drawing. God dammit it nearly ruined the grey lead. They could’ve dropped them somewhere else. But whatever. I assumed it was best to just roll them and see what happens.
The dice spun for some time finally landing on the numbers 7 and 1. Easy math and 8. I looked at the map I could go almost anywhere. Maybe I’d go for the bedroom. After I defeated the person I could try taking a nap. Replenishing energy is important after all. Maybe I would stop at the dining room or the kitchen after?
I walked out the door and was led to a semi-dark place. Half of it showed part of the house while the rest was a big black void and me? I was just floating in it. Sort of a zero-gravity situation. I quite liked it. I always wanted to experience something like this. I would’ve been really excited if not for the whole. I might die soon thing.
I stopped focusing on the experience and read the bold white words in front of me.
“Where do you want to go.”
There was definitely something wrong with that sentence.
I looked at the space in front of me. Red walls with black feather or leaf indents. White tiles were everywhere. I could see doors leading to a bunch of other rooms. I turned sidewards and sort of walked out of the space. It was awkward considering there was nothing to step on but it worked. I ended up on the tiles and then walked towards the bedroom. I kept the map open in my hand to look at it as I walked to make sure I went the right way.
