What's up with him?

Xander peered at the girl for a while, she was brave to come this close to him and somehow he loved her gesture but then shifted her hand off his shoulder before taking his laptop and leaving her side.

Stacy felt shunned, she frowned as he strode about the table to leave. "Master Xander" she called him back but he ignored her.

Stacy stood up and followed him. When she finally caught his hand, she blew out a sigh and then saw the tattoo behind his wrist. ALEXANDER was written on it but the rest of the sentence was written in maybe Arabic because she didn't understand.

Xander noticed she saw his tattoo, well, It was just his name written and the position he own in his life. He jerked his hand. "Stop. . ." He didn't know her name.

Stacy looked into his eyes. "It's Stacy, too bad Mr Handsome doesn't know my name" she enunciated.

Xander threw her an exasperated look. Just say what you want to say and leave my way, your presence just makes everything hard for me, even breathing is difficult when you are around. He said internally.

"Okay, okay. . .I have somewhere to be tomorrow and I don't know when I'll be back so I'm kinda letting you know beforehand" she said.

"Whatever, you know you can spend forever away, seriously you will buy me a life with that. Because you. . .Are a pain" he finished and left her front.

"Jerk, I'm not a pain, you are!" She turned around to tell him that.

"Huh?" Xander turned about, did she just call him a jerk?

When Stacy saw the look on his face, she thought of an excuse but then she remembered that Mr Hall said he doesn't bite. "Jerk!" She exclaimed and went past him to her room knowing that his angry gaze was on her but he couldn't do anything. "Jerky Xander" she shook her head in a kiddish way before disappearing from his sight.

Xander was fuming but he just let it go, her words didn't make any difference to him. He knew that humans will always be the same, so persistent knowing that they might fall. Foolish girl. Her name was Stacy.

Stacy. . .He mentioned her name and then took steps to his room.

The next day, Stacy dressed in a blue fitted Jean and a white crop top. She tied her hair into a ponytail.

She met her master having coffee when she went to the kitchen to have breakfast. She had gotten used to living in his house even though it had only been two days. The old man put her into a tough one and his advance payment wasn't enough. She needs to get the best because this jerk of a master here was way too hard to please!

She whistled. "Oh good morning, master. Slept well?" She tilted her head as she get something from the fridge.

Xander sighed, if she could play so clingy, he should play along, truth be told, he felt comfortable with her already even when it has only been a very short while she had been with him. The girl was pretty with her daring blue eyes that makes his mind stop working, he hasn't been close to any woman but this Stacy with him looked so sexy even when he hasn't experienced that sexy feeling of a thing. "I did, thank you" he replied and smiled against the rim of the mug that was planted in his mouth.

Stacy was surprised, what was up with him this morning? Did he have a dream or did his ancestors give him any advice? "Whoa! What's going on?" She teased the man beside her, just as he had expected, she surely did tease. Oh, this girl. . .

Xander smiled, "What's for breakfast?"

"You don't eat so there's nothing for breakfast" she replied, pouring the cereal into a bowl.

"So much for a caregiver" murmured Xander.

"What? You caused it you know, I prepared a good dinner for you the first night but. . ."

"It's okay don't blab about it" he hushed her.

Stacy glared at him and then smiled. "You know, I like the person that advised you in your sleep to at least talk. Having a conversation with you wasn't nice but I'm okay with it" she said.

Receiving just stares, she planted the cereal in her mouth using a spoon, her thoughts were wandering as she was worried about her Mom. She then carried the bowl and sat on the table in the kitchen. "Go get ready for work, or you'll get late," she told him.

Xander pursed his lips, eyed her and drank the coffee at once before listening to her. Stacy shook her head. Jerk!

Later in the day, she went to her Mom, the surgery started but the doctor had already put fear in their heart that their mother might turn blind after the surgery. Stacy rebuked such a prospect, prayed and hoped that their Mom would be fine. Her Mom was the woman that brought her into this world. Even though all her life after her father's death, she'd be working day and night to help her mother. Stacy has never hated her mother not even a bit.

She sat with her siblings as the surgery went on, hours after hours after hours, her siblings fell asleep waiting but she was awake. She was the first child so she should be on the lookout.

Eventually, Stacy stood up from the chair immediately she saw the group of doctors walking out. No one could tell what their expression says. Her heart couldn't stay at peace, she couldn't even swallow the lump in her throat as she stared at the chief surgeon's lips waiting to hear what he had to say.

Fortunately, the surgery went well but the doctors weren't sure about her mother's sight until the lady receives consciousness.

Stacy was relieved for a minute but the next minute, she heartfelt unhappy. She wouldn't live with the fact that her Mom wouldn't be able to use her sight. "Thank you doctor," she said lost in thought and went to sit with her siblings.
