I'll always be here

Stacy thought it was time she died but as he stared at her ragingly, he held back even though she could see how much it killed him. He grabbed ahold of her arms. "Please leave Stacy, I. . .I. . Don't want to do anything to you," he told her.

Stacy was too shocked by what she saw, his grey eyes were now red like that of blood and his face looked more horror-like, then to his teeth, he had two extra which were his fangs. She swallowed. He looked dead and paled. "Please, I can't hold back anymore" he whispered and narrowed his gaze.

Stacy gasped and then he pushed her out when he saw no progress in her leaving, closing the door, she looked behind her to see he'd locked himself in. But she could still hear his raging voice. He was killing himself in there. "Xander!" She knocked on the door several times until he stopped, and she returned to her room.

Stacy couldn't sleep but with her thoughts tripling, she fell asleep. The next morning, she went to his room but it was still locked. She knocked several times but he never came to let her in.

Xander could hear her knocks, but he couldn't let her into his bloody messy room. All his stuff has been destroyed and his bloodstain them all. He looked like a dead man but was resurrected.

Stacy found her way to Mr Hall's office and he sat down on that same spot ready to tell her what she thought was the truth to all this and his appearance.

"What did you see?" He asked but this time, they didn't have any refreshments, the matter was maybe beyond refreshments.

"He had two long teeth and his eyes turned red, and wasn't able to see much but last night, he was fierce and he cut himself badly. What do you think?"

The man who was leaning against his chair leaned forward with a big sigh. "That's what I meant by he prefers to hurt himself than others, that's how much he loves humans"

The man began.

"Truth be told, I'm not his father, I'm not the boy's Dad. Well, it goes this way, both his parents were vampires of the land. According to my knowledge about vampires, there are four types, water, wind, land and fire. So his parents were the ruler of the land vampires which makes him the prince, that's why he has that tattoo on his hand with his name written and his position, land and fire are kinds of the same because they both have red eyes but they have different abilities" The man glanced at her to see if she was concentrating and damn she was, seems the girl wanted to know about her master.

"Back then, before he was born, I fell in love with his mother. But I was about to die but then she bit me and with that, I was able to live, she was a woman so her blood couldn't make me immortal, she kind of prolonged my life because I'm supposed to be dead by now." He saw that confused face.

"That's because your master is 120-year-old" he enunciated.

Stacy's eyes widened when she heard that. "Vampires are known to be immortal until they get killed and they tend to not reproduce like humans that's why they aren't so much on Earth" he explained.

"Well, back then, his parents had a war with the king's brother who wanted the throne. His father knew about my love for his wife and told me to take care of his wife and child while he fight his brother. Xander was young then and needed a mother's love and affection and attention but she was blinded by the love she had for her husband. Xander cried to her never to leave him but she left to also fight and told me to hide her son, she trusted me and I ran with that child even when he wanted his parents. Xander was three when he lost his parents. They never came back and that was what grew hatred in his heart for women, they never listen and do what they want. He craved for his mom's love every day" the man paused.

"I decided to give him a life of a normal kid without abilities but he was a vampire and I couldn't change that. He attended school and got a lot of friends but the fact that he wanted blood, he was hungry for blood made him stop. Then he turned to his dog when I stopped him from going to school and tutor him myself. Because he loved the dog so much, he cut himself instead and begged me to send him away, this happen three times, he bought one three years ago but sent it away" The man was now becoming emotionally.

"He stayed away from me to prevent himself from biting me" the old man rolled his shirt sleeve and showed her his scars. "I wanted to comfort him that day but he ended up biting me, that was when he was twelve. Xander cursed himself like crazy and begged me to let him live alone. Xander then lives alone from then on."

"After so many years, I changed his identity, everything about him. I've changed his identity three times now and now that you are here in his life. I don't know" the man was frustrated.

"He pushed you away and comes to me and tell me how much he likes you, he'd share with me things no man should share, you are the woman he has ever wanted and cared for after his Mom. You know sometimes I wanna free that child from the painkilling him inside." He glanced at Stacy.

"Don't feel sorry for him, it's useless, just try to understand him. Now that you've turned him on, he'll be fierce frequently but soon It'd stop once he gets used to feeling that way, which is kind of impossible. But trust me that boy won't hurt you no matter how much he yearns for it, you are a big treasure to him and he cherishes you more than you can imagine" He explained to her.

Stacy was just dumbfounded, all this was too much for her to take in at once. She shook her head and stared at the old man. "Should I leave as you did then?" Her voice was shaking, she was shaking and shivering even her guts were too.

"Please don't leave him now, he needs you more than how humans need food. Just don't tell anyone about all that I told you, don't make the mistake of opening that mouth of yours to tell anyone because his uncle might find him. Samael is searching everywhere on a lookout for him and once he finds Xander. He's dead gone because Xander doesn't know how to defend himself and face his uncle. He was never trained like his parents" the old man installed fear into her system.

Stacy nodded. "You know, I should sue you for telling me all this now" she glared at him. "It was a death wish to go to live with Xander. I'm not ready to die"

The old man stood up, "Am I dead now?" He asked. "The boy hasn't tasted any human blood for 120 years, it's like not drinking water. Do you think it's easy? Just help me to make him complete and encourage him. Make him know that he can defeat his uncle. Or I kill you myself" He scared her. "And don't joke about the dreams you have about him, I won't be telling you all this if he didn't ask me to through my dream. Sometimes, he says things he couldn't say through his mouth through people's dreams. So be sensitive about what he says okay?"

. . .

Stacy arrived home by dusk and saw Xander in the kitchen, the moment he saw her, he distanced himself. So he didn't come out this morning because he was scared he'd hurt her. "Xander" she reached for his cheek but he leaned away.

"Stay away from me" he ran off to his room. Stacy sighed and found herself suddenly crying for him. She turned to what he was doing. He poured flour on a big plate and wrote. 'I wish I'm not a vampire.' Her tears then streamed down over her cheek. She couldn't feel what he feels but she felt bad and sorry for the poor man.

She stared at what he wrote and wiped it off before writing. 'I'll always be here.' Stacy left for her room to change.
