Chapter 25 – Marrying Age

“Sir Carlisle, you don’t have to run,” she told him laughing because for a moment there, he looks like a child in her eyes.

Carlisle momentarily laughed then straightened himself up. “Are you done, milady? Do you need to be somewhere else?”

She shook her head. “I’m good. Though I want you to be the first one to know that I got full remarks on the exam,” she said giddily. Carlisle’s eyes widened at that.

“Congratulations, milady! This calls for a celebration, don’t you think? I know a good restaurant just around the corner.”

She appreciated the gesture but she shook her head. “Maybe next time, my lord. Your father and Baron Shiba are waiting for us so I think it would be better if we are to head home already.”

“If that is what you want, then sure. Shall we go now?” Carlisle asked and even offered his arms to her. Aurora smiled then cling to him as they make their way back to the carriage waiting for them.
