Locked Door in the Library Basement

On a particularly dreadful day – Monday, it was the freaking Monday after her so-called picnic date with Nate – Keira was tasked with arranging the old editions of scientific and medical journals in the library basement.

A side punishment, for sure. Her boss, Rachel, was the typical jealous woman who could hold grudges as long as the Earth could spin.

If she could ignore her boss' order and stubbornly sit at her desk, Keira wouldn't hover over scattered journals that weren't as relevant to today's scientific advances. Hell, lobotomy would still be the biggest failure of medical advancement, in her opinion.

Hefting some of the old bundles in her arms, Keira paced to the side of the room. After sorting which ones she has to digitize later and which ones would not be needed anymore, she has to bring those upstairs.
