Are You Really Her Boyfriend, Wolfe?

"So … where is everyone?"

Keira looked around at her surroundings, noticing that she had yet to see any single person besides her devilish companion called Nate and the only one she could call a friend in this little town, Lucy Evans.

They were sitting in the front yard. Three broken wooden chairs were pulled from the shed, two empty boxes stacked up to make a table.

The promised plates of fish and chips – it's the best in town, you know – lived up to its claim.

Munching on her self-made meal, Lucy shrugged, "It's the time of the year, remember?"

Nate shot a confused look at her, which Keira reciprocated because, let's face it … she didn't know what the future of The Codfather's owner meant.

The red-haired girl pointed her index finger at the librarian. "See, what did I tell you?"

"You didn't tell me anything," Keira muttered, ignoring the mean look Nate sent her.

"You went away far too long, you forget everything here."
