Chapter 2: The Battle (1)

"Hmmm, well NO, that's A scam, "Kudo the Great Orc God," you want me to help a Civilization rise to the top of the food chain? Do you know how many hardships I will have along the way? I need something more from you. I WANT a small boon of fertility to any land I own and ALL Orcs to have a 15% more chance of listening to what I say under extreme stress and A 5% chance without it," Uthred said with a grin on his face.

"Hmm, well, that's a good deal. I accept bring my race to the top or suffer the consequences, boy," said Kudo

Suddenly a Portal Appeared behind Uthred, sucking him in before he got to say anything else.

"AHAHAH, Old man, I still have it in me. Did you see how we just tricked that Kid KAHAHAH," said Kudo while laughing with "GOD."

While they were laughing, "GOD" was thinking. Sigh* he just scammed me again. This is THE 6th TIME!

RECAP OVER

—--------------------------------

[Back to reality]

After he was enveloped and sucked through the portal, he gained memories from the body he was now in. Surprisingly the boy's name was Uthred as well. He was Medium sized in the eyes of other orcs and, surprisingly, bright slim, and didn't cause problems.

But he got summoned to fight in the war against the invading humans. He died when another orc fell on top of him.

(A/N, the big orc weighed 800 pounds. They call him Orc-truck-Kun)

Well, that's how the original owner died, and Uthred was left with the body.

Far in the distance, he could see their enemies, neatly forming a solid battle line. They stood disciplined, like his kind, boasting a complete set of metal armor and towering shields.

Uthred looked right and left and saw his kind, green skin, some brownish red and greyish brown, with humongous weapons made of anything they could get their hands on, wood rocks on, either self-made or created by someone else.

Uthred looked at his weapon, a fine metal sword that was too short for his frame and a shield made of rocks and wood roughly held together by nails and rope; he wanted a better shield, but He wasn't able to get one because he didn't have anything of equal value as the orcs didn't have currency and could only barter especially since it was wartime the value of certain items skyrocketed. Some of the valuers went down, such as wood; his old shield was taken away by some of his more robust kin as they would snatch away the best from anyone weaker than them; unluckily, Uthred was one of the weakest.

He was still young according to the age depicted by the system that accompanied his transmigration and a system made for kingdom-building/battle specifically.

It gave him missions to accomplish and rewarded him with points which then could buy things from the system store, be it magic spells, weapons, abilities, talents, knowledge, and other things.

Since "GOD" had transmigrated him in the body of a young dying orc after a disastrous defeat at the hands of his more robust kin, he stared at his meager 500 points, and excitement welled up in him as he stared at his mission.

There was likely only a slight chance for him to accomplish the last mission, so he focused on the previous mission, so he focused on getting more kills for the time being.

He then gripped his sword tightly and prepared his shield for any sudden attack, and they unleashed a barrage of arrows toward the Orcs. Uthred crouched down a little on the ground with his shield angled towards the trajectory of the enemies' arrows headed for them.

Howls of pain soon ensured after the sound of flesh pierced and some occasional arrows deflated and blocked.

The enemy archers unceremoniously continued the barrage. Uthred's kin died in great numbers, and after a few seconds, the chaotic formation moved and charged towards enemy ranks.

It incensed Uthred on how his kind dose battle. They would just charge toward the enemy like mad dogs, engaged in melee, and then that's it, no strategy at all, simple but sometimes effective, but when you constantly do it, they know how to counter.

He soon joined the chaotic melee scoring his first kill in the battle; he hacked at his enemies with all his strength and overpowered them with raw strength sometimes; he would even tackle them with his shield or slam them with an overhead strike with it and kick them away with his massive foot.

The battle progressed in utter chaos, with every orc for himself, no formation at all, while their enemies confronted them in groups, trapping them with their shields and stabbing them with spears or swords while they trapped them.
