Chapter 10: Golem (10)

The Golem, successfully attracted by Galnor's shout, turned its head and stared at Uthred and his group, then towards the charging Galnor.

"Hahaha Oh! Customers." The golem said with a deep and loud voice while waving its rocky hands at Uthred and his group whose mouths were open with shock. The goldem then looked at Galnor, grabbed the tree trunk that was supposed to smash its left leg with its bulky rocky hands, and lifted it, and, along came Galnor who refused to let go of it.

"Aggressive Customer, equal! no rock discount for you." The Goldem roared while pointing at Galnor with his other hand, it then picked something from behind the piled-up boulders the result of the pounding on mountain walls.

Uthred just stared at this scene with disbelief. he was speechless and just stared at the goldem, still busy going through the rocks looking for something, but soon came to its senses then turned to look at his companions and discovered their shocked expressions.

"Huh, was this supposed to happen?" He couldn't help but ask. He was confused about what was happening.

"Ha, This is a first," Rakh said, shrugged his boney shoulders, and stored the readied concoctions back into his crudely made bag while the others in the group sighed in relief. They sighed because they expected a battle that didn't occur, nor do they want it to occur. Thatrot sat down on the ground and, Murhsa sheathed her swords on their scabbards on her back, Shanna lowered her axe, and Gurak, and Wug just stood in place, unsure of what to do and say.

"Friends... Customers... come and see my wares see anything you like I give a discount to everyone but big orc who try to attack." The Goldem announced in broken orc language, pausing and continuing after a few words like he was thinking about what to say next then brought forward a box made of logs, tied in a square shape by vines containing different items.

The square box contained many things, ores, fruits, rocks, weapons, and many other things. Uthred and his group continued being speechless.' Ha, what is this a Merchant Golem' Uthred thought, staring stupidly at the still excited golem?

"A spirit crystal.. dragon's skin.. throat cut ore... hearken stone" Rakh named a few of the wares the golem presented in a surprised tone.

"Are any of these thigns rare?" Uthred asked curiously, He didn't know what these things were or their uses but Rakh's tone and his curiosity prompted him to ask.

"Well, a spirit crystal is something only found deep in the underground with an abundance of spiritual energy, it's useful to shamans in increasing mana. The throat cut ore is the hardest ore to find since it only exists near rivers of fire and only in small quantities.

It can be used to forge weapons and armors that are more durable and resilient than any other metal, even the pinkskins think so, their highest chieftain had a weapon made of such an ore which he treasured dearly even sacrificing giant numbers of his army to recover his sword from his eldest sons corpse of the Wargin tribe who looted it from the corpse.

The Dragon is one of the strongest and feared predators of the Lagmore Mountian armed with sharp claws and teeth so thick that a full blow of a sword from an orc can't penetrate its thick skin and the hearken stone is a useful stone that can be grounded to dust and mixed with several herbs to make a healing salve."Rakh explained in detail as he stared dumbfounded at the strange golem. With these detail, Uthred knew that these items were rare and precious.

"Haha glad you... know my goods" The golem said while smiling proudly since his parents and kind laughed at his crazy deeds and dreams to become a great merchant which seemed very unrealistic to them since no creature with a good mind will do business with a talking piece of huge rock much less communicate with one. Golems are creatures that tend to destroy things with their innate talents and abilities and are very hostile to any other creatures besides their king earning them a very poor reputation.

"A merchant golem.. hmm that's odd" Shanna couldn't help to mutter as She had never seen or encountered one this golem here in very different from it's kind.
