End X of X Meeting

"I guess I am talking about the ensuing battle… well I did manage to escape with our lives but I wouldn't call it a victory considering our situation. I lost handily…" Beginning my explanation I began to compile my thoughts over the various shortcomings and failures of the battle that night, something I never had the time or desire to do up till now.

*groans* " You are having too much with this." cursing under his breath, Leorio laid his head on the table in exasperation. Leaving Kurapika to look a bit confused before turning to me for some sort of answer.

"That was really my first battle with a Nen user that wasn't a training match… and my Hatsu is more oriented to staying alive than defeating an enemy. So during our fight, I could only react rather than act in that situation which led to me accumulating quite a few injuries." Using my one hand, I went and pulled down the numerous bandages wrapped around my neck to show off the various bruises and small gashes from the fight. These were the result of Nobunaga's numerous strikes at my neck, and while I could redirect most of the force I could not nullify or redirect it all.

"My Hatsu allows me to redirect attacks, but the more force I am redirecting the more costly… I would have lost my head a few times over and been a collection of sliced-up chunks of meat. However, to land a critical blow to our pursuer I had to sacrifice my one hand… But hey, you should see the other guy." While I didn't exactly like letting others know of my Hatsu, it was my trusted friends and the explanation I gave was filled with numerous holes.

"By the way, I figured since you are involved in a circle of Hunters involved in fighting you may have connections to someone who could reattach my hand, the was pretty clean so I figured it would be easier…" Displaying my hand encased in aura to Kurapika before setting it gingerly down on the table. Currently, I really wanted to get my hand back… I didn't particularly need it for combat but it was preferable to have it regardless.

"hmm…I can probably reconnect it but it would be costly and time-consuming. Holy Chain works best under certain conditions and isn't suited for these types of wounds. I am sorry but I won't be able to fix it until things calm down… I cannot afford the time or possibly being caught off guard after what happened recently."

"That… very well, I can probably manage until then. I suppose I can keep a lookout for any sort of alternative. Though may I ask what it is about my wound that is not conducive to whatever hatsu it is you have?" Slightly bummed out, I began considering other ways of getting this fixed. After all, all sorts of Nen users are probably congregating around here. Besides I knew of at least one that could help me although it would be almost impossible to convince them.

"Only during specific periods of time can I use its healing effect to its fullest potential and even then it only works best on me the user. Additionally, it is better at mending wounds on the body… think broken bones or cuts. It is not good at regenerating missing limbs or organs, I could easily heal your stump but I could not reattach or grow a new hand easily. It only enhances the natural process of healing, so if I placed your hand on the stump and tried to heal it you would not be able to control it very well as the nerves would not heal properly." looking down at my stump, he began to address the manner in which he could or rather couldn't heal my injury. It was a slap in the face for sure, I would have to either give up on attaching the hand and turn my hand into a stump or live with the pain of a severed limb and the drain on my aura for most likely the next week.

"You have a healing type Hatsu… I figured you would have created a hatsu suitable for taking down the troupe" picking back up the conversation was Leorio, who looked inquisitively at Kurapika.

"It's in the wording… he said it's healing 'effect' not 'power' so it's most likely a Hatsu with multiple abilities. Regardless, it's rude to ask for details as Hatsu's are pretty personal. I mean you wouldn't ask someone about their salary… it's the same sort of deal." Cutting him off, I moved to have Kurapika not disclose much of anything, I really had a lot on my plate and multiple people knowing about his Hatsu with Pakunoda around was not what I needed.

"Ah, my bad then. Moving on, what should we be doing right now? I cannot really do any fighting but I will help however I can." sitting up straight, he relented before redirecting the conversation once again we started to throw around various ideas for how to tackle the issue.

While it wasn't a quick process, we began to create a plan that incorporated all of our strengths. Well, it was more of a framework as we knew no plan was infallible. It also lets us learn about the events that recently happened from an insider's perspective.

"The troupe is probably going to be on high alert, two of their members were injured with one being presumed dead. And the other one was is infected with a deadly parasite… he also recently escaped captivity last night. So they will be trying to nurse their wounds and most likely be on the lookout for me as I am a threat to be able to take out one of their members. So currently both parties are likely searching for the other… So we need to be able to find their base before they can find us. They already know I am associated with the Nostrades but they do not know that I am 'the chain user' as they put it." debriefing us on the newest incident, we began to piece together the implications. Especially myself, who began comparing it to the loose image of the cannon I had in my mind. Things felt slightly off, like when you heard a note off tune but cannot pinpoint it in the ensemble.

"So how are we going to find their location, we know they are in the abandoned parts of town but I have no real way to track them down." pushing down that discomfort, I questioned him on our method of winning this 'race' as we really needed the advantage of initiative if we wanted to nab Killua out of an enraged and alert Troupe.

"I have an arranged meeting with a contact tonight… they should be able to convey the location of their hideout to me possibly."
