Change X In X Perspectives

"Now what?" Propped up against a pile of rock and debris I stared upward through the haze of settling dust It finally began to set in how deep a hole I dug myself. By now, my breathing had stabilized as my body began to rapidly cool down due to the slick coating of dirt transforming into mud under the constant downpour.

'I guess I should try to get out of here and help out wherever I can… Melody should still be fighting her opponent up there. Not really sure if I'll be quick enough getting out of here to help out though.' putting some effort into getting back on my feet I assessed the steep rocky walls of the crater. It really put into perspective the type of power that was being haphazardly thrown around just earlier.

Yet, the large amount of destruction to my surroundings was a large drawback as all that unfocused power I could not handle was room for me to improve. Because digging a hole into the center of the earth every time I got in a fight wasn't a great idea and bring much-unwanted attention.

"Well let's get to climbing I guess…" mumbling words that didn't reach my ears due to the incessant sound of rainfall I lumbered to the edge of the hole I dug myself into.

Sitting shotgun inside of the black sedan, Kurapika was clenching the small cell phone before calmly placing it inside his pocket. With an impassive face, he stared forward out the windshield yet, it did nothing to hide the fury in his eyes after the phone call he just received.

"Leorio, will you turn around? It seems there has been an attack on the quarters of the servants and bodyguards of my employers." with cold fury infused into his every word the entire atmosphere of the car froze over in seconds.

Soon after, Leorio stopped gawking at the sudden announcement as he pushed down on the gas pedal the car began to quickly accelerate on the slick asphalt of the road. Speeding down the road and taking a less traveled route the car sped past many a stop sign as it blew past multiple blocks on the way back toward the hotel they just left minutes prior.

Having taken Magenta's advice, Kurapika spoke to and convinced his employer to allow himself and a bodyguard of his choice to pursue and eliminate the last remaining members of the troupe. Of course, it was a narrative crafted to their advantage as the public considered the troupe to be dead and as to not cause panic he alerted them of a few stragglers who were left alive out of the twelve members.

With Melody as his choice to assist Magenta and Killua, Kurapika had Leorio as a driver and Gon as a helping hand. However, fifteen minutes out from their meeting he received a call and a message containing security camera footage of Squala and his guard dogs being massacred.

It seems that rather than having to search for the Phantom Troupe himself they were looking for him.

*Thud* *Crash*

Melody, who was quickly weaving through the cascading waves of duplicate derelict tenements and falling cars that were an odd parody of the poor weather. Continuing to dodge with an ease one wouldn't think her stubby legs and short frame would allow her.

Despite this, she was in a relatively rough spot currently. With her constant running around she was getting quite winded admittedly, and did not have the chance to use her flute as she did earlier when her opponent didn't try to put as much pressure on her as they did now. Though when she did get to use her flute it didn't seem to do much, she tried to calm down her opponent and remove their desire to kill her.

What she didn't account for was the odd personality of her foe, it seemed they never had any ill will toward her despite them trying to kill her. Yet it made sense in a strange way, if the background she heard from Kurapika regarding the troupe was correct then they originated from the Meteor City, a place where killing was a daily occurrence. Add on top of that, most powerful Nen users tend to gain an ego. It wouldn't surprise her if her song failed because he viewed killing her as a trivial task. You don't have murderous intentions when you set a mouse trap after all.

Now, she intended to draw a different emotion from her opponent if possible. Maybe Kurapika's close friend has finished his fight as the sound of explosions stopped recently.

Sitting around a table a group of three individuals sat nonplussed as the pooling red puddles of blood at their feet flowed from the numerous dead bodies of canines and a few humans. One was awkwardly stuffed between the chair and table that was obviously too small for his large stature. Another was absent-mindedly tapping and playing with a set of eyes contained inside two glass cylinders framed inside a wooden stand. Meanwhile, the third was leaning back in his chair with a constant smile on his face as he continued to stare at the deck of cards in his hands that he was continuously shuffling.

"Mmm… Why are we here again? It's getting rather boring just sitting here." with her eyes slightly dilating as she tuned back into reality Shizuku pestered the large man to her side resulting in an audible groan.

*sigh* "Again, we are waiting here as we suspect the chain user is among the staff here or has connections to them. Furthermore, the Boss believes he is a surviving Kurta clan member or closely associated based on Hisoka's fortune. So we will wait here with the eyes and get the drop on him when he inevitably comes back." weathering the continuous onslaught of Shizukus pestering and headache-inducing airheadedness, Franklin took a deep breath as he turned his gaze toward the door leading into the apartment. Even though he was getting a bit jumpy in anticipation, being able to avenge his brothers in arms was one thing but facing off against someone who could face off against them was a rarity.
