RELEASING THE MOVIE PART 1
Finally, the day arrived when Ash's movie was going to be released in the theaters. He was at his company with his staff. They were discussing the movie. It was his first movie in this world. Everything had gone smoothly until now,
But a problem had arisen so this staff meeting was called. It seemed like many tabloids had started creating fake rumors about the movie a few days ago.
The rumors were targeting Ash and the movie saying that there were some inappropriate scenes of children.
Ash had already anticipated it so he had told Serena to hire a good HR team to handle the situation a few days ago. And how the HR team was containing the rumors to a bare minimum.
The company's staff were getting anxious as well. The company was short on the staff. When Ash took over the company a lot of staff were fired by him. And when he decided to direct the movie a lot of staff left the company fearing the company will go bankrupt because of this movie.
When the remaining staff saw the movie for the first time they had regained their confidence in the company. But due to rumors, their anxiety returned.
One of the staff members said, "Sir, what should we do now?''
"We do nothing. Let HR contain the rumors as much as possible. When the movie releases the public will know themself that why rumors are called rumors."
Ash was confident in his movie. So they decided to give it a wide release but a new problem arose. Serena informed Ash,
"We have a big problem."
"What happened now?''
"It looks like many NGOs are protesting against us. They even filed a complaint against us to the CPS (Child Protection Services).
"That shouldn't be a big problem. Uncle Sam can handle the CPS."
"The CPS isn't the problem. It looks like someone is fuming the rumors and turning it into a controversy. Due to this many theaters are backing out from the deal with us. We might not be able to give a mass release to this movie if this kept on increasing."
Ash immediately understood the whole game. It looked like someone was targetting him. He knew one thing for sure it wasn't Cyrus because Cyrus would never rely on such petty tricks.
"How Many screens we will get if we release it today?"
"Around 2000 and 4000 if we push it real hard."
"Then release it to as many screens as possible, I will think of a way."
"Do you have a plan? tell me you do?" Serena ask Ash
he looked at her and smiled then şaid, "Do you know, this place is a jungle. And controversies are like fire in the Jungle. To save ourselves from this fire the best way is to start a fire in the opposite direction to it."
Serena looked at Ash with satisfaction written in her eyes. She nodded at Ash and said, "So where do we start this fire."
"We will start by burning some of our resources. Let's hold a Red-carpet event tonight and invite some guests. And make it as eye-catching as possible."
When a big red-carpet event was announced everyone was shocked. They never expected it. They just lost their biggest advantage and now they were spending more money.
When Ash invited the media for the evening it was confirmed and so even mainstream media covered this news.
They just couldn't understand what Starline was thinking.
When the evening arrived many media personnel arrived there because due to Starline's abrupt decision people became very curious
Besides the media, many NGOs had gathered protesters to stop the screening of this movie.
Soon the actors of the movie also started to arrive followed by the crew. Media asked them questions but they didn't give them their desired answer. They just said that they worked very hard and they hoped for the best for this movie.
When the controversy started Ash had kept his cool and waited for the right time to hit the iron. He didn't say anything about it until now and let the movie get some limelight.
Ash arrived last along with Misty and Martha. He went toward the media and said, "Hello, everyone. My name is Ash Wilson and I am the director and producer of this movie. I would like to thank you all for coming to this important event."
When they heard that Ash was the director they started asking a lot of questions to him all at once. So Ash said, "Please slow down I will answer everyone's questions but first I would like to make an announcement.
Everyone becomes silent for once so Ash continued, "Due to recent rumors, our image was greatly tarnished so to build our image once again I will donate 5% revenue of this movie to the CPS."
When they heard that they didn't say anything they had expected something like this.
Then one reporter broke the silence and asked, "Mr. Wilson, did you get consent from this child's parents before shooting those inappropriate scenes. She looks too young to even shoot a movie"
When Ash heard that question he didn't lose his cool but his gaze turned colder than ice. He looked at the reporter and said, "Are you from CSL news (Cyrus's news channel)?''
The reporter was stupified by Ash's gaze.
"No wonder, this kind of question came from your mouth."
When Ash said that everyone was surprised. One could interpret his words as him challenging the CSL news which was the biggest news channel right now.
After saying that he looked at Martha. Martha got the signal from Ash and she took a step toward the crowd and said, "My name is Martha Mclanny and I am the mother of Mystiq Mclanny. my daughter who is 6 years old is playing the role of MC in this movie. Ash is our family friend or more like a son to me personally since his mother was my best friend."
"Ash took consent toom me? Yes, he did, and not only from me but from mystią too. He considered Mystiq as a little sister so he would never allow Mystiq to do anything inappropriate let alone make her do it. So please stop these senseless rumors whoever spreading them. It's disgusting."
